Assassin’s Creed Odyssey seems to be Ubisoft’s most ambitious Assassin’s Creed game yet and with a lot of positive press surrounding the game, fans are excited to get that their hands on the game. For those fans, we now have information regarding how much they’ll have to download before playing the game.
Microsoft has listed the game for pre-load on Xbox-Live and those who have ordered the game can now pre-load it and keep it. According to the pre-load listing, you will have to download 45GB of game data. This is about the same as Assassin’s Creed Origins’ size when it first launched but with games reaching up to 90GB and above, it’s good to see that a game of this size, scope and detail manages to stay under 50GB. This is the current download size without any DLC and updates like the Day One Update that most games seem to get.
While the size is taken from Microsoft’s listing, it’s safe to say that the PS4 size will also be around the same and the PC download size will likely be the same or maybe just a little bit more if they include a higher texture pack of sorts. If you’ve got slow internet and have preordered the game, you should start that pre-load the game because 45GB can be a gigantic size to download. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey comes out on 5th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and for the first time in the series will feature different paths that players can take including different routes because of the two different protagonists present in the game.
