Fortnite for Android seems to be right around the corner and with the recent news that it might be exclusively available on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for the first three months, a lot of fans have been disappointed. Fret not though as according to sleuths over at the XDA forums, they might have figured out the Minimum Requirements to be able to run Fortnite on your Android Device once it is out. By analysing the API that Epic uses to decide what Fortnite promotions and services an Epic account is entitled to and the output of said API, they figured out the minimum specs as mentioned below.
- OS: 64-bit Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher
- RAM: 3GB or higher
- GPU: Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
From the looks of it, you’ll need a somewhat recent Android phone. Since it is an Unreal Engine game, it can be speculated that it will be GPU limited most of the time. This means that somewhat modern CPUs should be able to play the game without issues. Epic Games need to get into the Android market soon because PUBG is getting a very strong hold as of now and it will be interesting to see how they combat PUBG’s dominance.
