Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation is one of the most anticipated games of this year. A PlayStation 4 exclusive, this game has you play as a veteran Peter Parker who has to take on many of his fearsome foes as they try to end the Spider once and for all.

We finally have a date for the when the review embargo gets lifted and it is September 4th. As stated in the tweet this is just 3 days before the launch of the game. While some fans are nervous regarding this, James Stevenson the Community Director at Insomniac Games posted a comment as to why they chose September 4th. James says,
“The Labor Day holiday meant 7-days early wasn’t really tenable for us as we didn’t want reviews hitting prior to the holiday weekend.
And we needed to allow enough time for people to play the game, and write their reviews, so we couldn’t go much earlier than 7 days out. Thus, first day back from the holiday”
That seems to be quite a reasonable reason and not something that they came up with because they’re afraid of negative reviews due to the game being bad. From the looks of it, the game seems to be crafted with a lot of love and care and we can’t wait to get to play as The Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.
