Fortnite players rejoice! The Playground mode is coming back and it’s coming back with a lot of more new additions. Set up squad battles with new team select options, skirt around in an ATK and gear up with lots more loot.
While they did announce that they would bring back Playground mode, the quick addition of it in the next update is quite good. They had also stated earlier that they want to include team selections to enable 1v1 and 2v2, teammate structure editing and other play-with-pal features. All the details will be known tomorrow when the update drops tomorrow. The update will also feature Founder’s Skin.
There’s a lot of rumours surrounding the next line of cards that Nvidia is going to release. From the naming convention to the numbering system that they’ll use but the biggest is the actual date of launch. According to youtuber Gamer Meld who received emails from Nvidia’s Board Partners which state that the new series, the GTX 11xx will begin launching at the end of August with the GTX 1180.
According to the emails, Nvidia will reveal the lineup on August 30th along with making the GTX 1180 available for purchase. The GTX 1170 is supposed to launch around September 30th and the GTX 1160 around October 30th. Additionally, a GTX 1180+ is said to release alongside the GTX 1170. This GTX 1180+ could probably be the Ti version of the GTX 1180. As noted in the email, these are the expected release dates as of now. While we cannot confirm the authenticity of the email, the timing seems to line-up. Lenovo had stated that the GTX 11xx series would launch around Fall. Also, Nvidia is scheduled for a talk at Hot Chips on August 20th with the description of their talk being “NVIDIA’s Next-Gen Mainstream GPU”.
The Hot Chips conference is just a month away so we won’t have to wait too long to find out if the GTX 11xx series is actually happening this Fall because chances are that they will reveal it there and then open up pre-orders, at least for the GTX 1180 that will supposedly launch 10 days after. We hope that this happens since the mining craze ruined the GPU Market and prices are finally getting back to normal now and if the new series of cards do get announced, the current GTX 10xx might get cheaper, much to the joy of PC Enthusiasts who have been waiting to upgrade or build a new PC.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the best competitive FPS and has been ever since it’s release. With tournaments all throughout the year and many professional teams and players, CSGO is still a very active game with an even more active community. However, players of the game have been questioning Valve over the years for what seems to be lack of support for the game itself in terms of updates and anti-cheat. Valve has responded to the players by releasing Panorama UI and by totally stepping up their game when it comes to Anti-Cheat. While it is not as intrusive as ESEA or Faceit, the Anti-Cheat has been working wonders lately.
July 19th 2018 is a day that’s going down in CSGO history as the day 61 THOUSAND accounts got banned. That is not a joke, 61k VAC bans took place and the forums where cheaters gather is just filled with them complaining about it. As a CSGO player myself, all I can say is thanks mr volvo. The game has been using a hidden trust factor to match players of similar trust together in an effort to combat cheaters and AFKers but this VAC Wave has made the majority of the fanbase extremely excited and happy since there was a lot of rampant cheating going on lately.
It’s great to see Valve give attention to CSGO with all these updates since it still is one of the most played games on Steam and arguably the best Competitive Shooter out there.
Exploding Kittens is an extremely fun card game that has been turned into an app. While the name does sound quite cruel and evil, it really isn’t. As you’ll soon find out, the true evil was within you all along. Exploding Kittens is Russian Roullete but with cards that are full of adorable cats and sometimes other cute creatures. Your task is to be the last person alive and to do that you might have to screw over your friends more than just a couple of times.
Exploding Kittens’ gameplay is quite simple and takes less than 5 minutes to understand. All the cards have their uses described perfectly so there’s never really any confusion. There’s a draw pile of cards kept face down that every player must draw from at the end of their turn. This draw pile contains multiple Exploding Kitten cards. If you draw that you must defuse it with the help of a Defuse card. If you don’t have a defuse card, say your final rights and prepare to lose. You can still screw with your friends though as you get to choose where to put the Exploding Kitten card that just caused your demise without your friends knowing. If you were lucky enough to have a defuse card, you can defuse it and then place the Exploding Kitten card in your preferred spot so that you can have the tactical advantage. Oh, and the mobile version has a percentage meter that shows the chances of drawing an Exploding Kitten card based on the number of cards left in the draw pile. Don’t depend on it too much though because it can lull you into a false sense of security. In case you’re still confused about how the game works, here’s a video by the creators themselves that explains it.
And that’s how simple the game really is. While it does seem luck based there are strategies that you can employ that maximizes the chance of other players picking up the Exploding Kitten card. I know this because my lovely friends are all strategic Gods and will ruin your life with the right set of cards. Things never really get boring because you can always use new packs to further enhance your “enjoyment” that will later turn wherever you are into a salt mine. Oh, and if your friends are “busy” and they can’t play with you, you can always join a random online lobby and play with strangers while spamming your characters voice options. They’ve also added a new single-player feature so you can play with the CPU to get a hang of the game or to just practice. This game is also cross-platform so you can play with your iPhone friends from your Android device or vice-versa and everybody can have a jolly good time. If you’re winning that is.
Seriously though, this is an extremely fun game that’s great at parties and during any sort of small downtime that can help liven things up and I highly recommend that you check it out and give the game a try.
Many people will tell you that Flipkart has been losing its mojo and that other sites are better than it. Many people have faced issues with their return policy and many more with the quality of products being sold that too by sellers who are unknown. Flipkart has yet again landed in hot water due to the fact that they’re quite openly selling pirated copies of games on their website. While it is not Flipkart themselves who are selling it but the sellers on their site were and they were even mentioning it in the product details.
This information resurfaced after a tweet by Vidit Sahni that has screenshots of the games and of the response he received from Flipkart after asking a question about why pirated games are being sold. Flipkart responded to it with the answer “Invalid Question” which goes to show just how incompetent they can be when it comes to community feedback. This is not the first time that this has happened though, 9 months back a user on the Indian Gaming Subreddit posted about how he received a pirated copy of Far Cry Primal after ordering it from Flipkart.
This does not do Flipkart any favours and just goes to show that a lot of times they don’t check the authenticity of their sellers. From a big company like them, this is quite an oversight which just ruins their public image and the trust that people have on them. Flipkart did release an official statement regarding this and have since banned the sellers.
“Flipkart is a marketplace which helps sellers connect with customers across the country. We observe a zero tolerance policy on incidents where sellers are found violating rules pertaining to copyright, quality or genuineness of a product, or any other applicable laws of the land. As a responsible marketplace, we have immediately removed the concerned products and blacklisted the seller on our platform.“
PC Games are mostly digital now with retail copies only being available on sites like Flipkart, any unsuspecting customer who might be buying it as a gift or for themselves might think they’re getting a good deal on the game but in the end are being completely ripped off and that is not fine or acceptable. Here’s hoping that Flipkart steps up their game and keep an eye out for such sellers.

No Man’s Sky reached for the stars but crashed and burned horribly with players and critics criticizing its lack of variety, no multiplayer, story or any of the things initially marketed. This led to a lot of refunds being given out by Hello Games and a lot of consumers learning to never pre-order games based on trailers and marketing videos, especially in this day and age where keys can’t be sold out like physical copies of games.
Originally released in 2016 to lacklustre reviews, Hello Games stated that they would work hard and release updates to the game to make it better. And they stuck to their word, releasing three major updates, all of which have added new features or functions to the game which include but not limited to basic multiplayer, story mode and lore. The upcoming NEXT update which is another major update is going to expand the multiplayer so you can finally play with your friends, bump into random people and even race people. The NEXT update is also being timed with the Xbox One release of the game which will feature this new update, along with a release on WeGames.
So is the game any better now? People seem to be saying that it is, based on the Steam Reviews. While the game did get slammed with a LOT of negative reviews when it released, things seem to be getting better as there are a lot of positive reviews now. At this point with all the updates and content that is being added to the game, it can only be speculated why they would release the games in 2016 in its half-finished state. Was it pressure from the publisher? Was it because they didn’t want to become another Star Citizen? That we won’t know for sure but what we do know is that Hello Games is making an effort to improve their game and are doing it with free updates rather than hiding it behind a DLC. In due time this game could really turn into what it was initially meant to be and as a gamer, it’s always good to play a game where the dev team have actually fulfilled their vision.

Sea of Thieves launched in March, its first content update The Hungering Deep followed in May, and now that July’s upon us we’re about to unleash the most substantial update yet. Cursed Sails will be unfurling on July 31st, and like our other content updates it comes free of charge to all who own the game.
Cursed Sails will change things forever on the Sea of Thieves, as the sails you see cresting the horizon are no longer guaranteed to be other players making their own way through the world. The decks beneath those masts may now be manned by skeletal marauders returned to the seas from their restless graves. All that sustains these grinning terrors is a thirst for battle that leads them to terrorise Outposts and call out defenders to face them on the tides…
Fortunately, the threat of these fortress-like skeleton ships washes up alongside other features planned to help Sea of Thieves’ living pirates face down the dead. The Galleon and Sloop get some company in the form of the Brigantine, a new ship type specifically tailored for a crew of three. An Alliance system is also added which encourages crews to band together in pursuit of their goals, tackling greater challenges and sharing the rewards.
For those who like to follow the lore, things are afoot with Sea of Thieves’ ever-competitive shopkeepers, and a tale of ambition and greed escalating into something truly terrible will come to light in Cursed Sails. As before, the first seeds of this story can be found sprouting between the community celebrations making up popular seafarers’ rag the Pirate Times.
Tackling the time-limited campaign that introduces Cursed Sails’ new elements will hurl players into a series of fierce clashes and, as always, earn a fine set of in-game rewards upon victory. But rest assured that even if you’re late to the party, you won’t miss out on seabound skirmishes with the roaming undead as this new menace will remain in the world even after the campaign ends. You just can’t put a good pirate down. Especially if they’ve already been dead for decades. The Brigantine ship and the Alliance system will also be permanent additions to Sea of Thieves.
Recent weeks have seen regular challenges and rewards on offer in Bilge Rat Adventures, but even those fast-living outlaws are likely to put their horseplay on hold as the events of Cursed Sails begin to unfold. Best to start bracing yourselves for the skeletal uprising as soon as their latest challenge draws to a close.
So jump back into Sea of Thieves to experience Cursed Sails in two weeks’ time, on July 31st. Bring everything you’ve got. It’s a bone-breaking battle for pirate survival, and nowhere on the seas is safe!
