PUBG Project Thai: PUBG for Low End PCs

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an extremely popular game that is being played worldwide on almost every platform that it is available on. However, the PC version is still very demanding, which is where PUBG Project Thai comes in.

PUBG Project Thai is basically like PUBG Mobile Lite. It’s a version of regular PUBG that can be played on low-end systems as seen from the requirements below.

Minimum system requirements for PUBG Project Thai:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3 clocked at 2.4 GHz
  • GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Storage Required: 4GB

Required system requirements for PUBG Project Thai:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 clocked at 2.8 GHz
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 / AMD Radeon HD 7870
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage Required: 4GB

This is much lower than the minimum requirements for normal PUBG which requires an i5-4430 with a GTX 960. Sadly, this version is only available in Thailand with no plans to be launched elsewhere which is a shame as it would be a huge hit in a country like India that is currently crazy about PUBG and has a lot of gamers who are on a tight budget and have low-end systems.

Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Leaked

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games right now that doesn’t have any official release date. However, it could release as early as 2019 according to this now deleted tweet.

Bilkom is a company that previously helped with the publication of The Witcher 3 in Turkey by working with CD Projekt Red. The tweet translates to “The makers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt’s new game [is] Cyberpunk 2077. With assurance [/guarantee] in Turkey in the year 2019.” The tweet has since been deleted for obvious reasons but if it’s true could mean that the game is in its final testing and that CDPR will soon drop news about the release date.

Mega Man Makes A Comeback With Mega Man 11

Mega Man has been a series of great platformer titles that started to get stale over time but Mega Man 11 brings it back. Mega Man 11 brings a lot of freshness that series needed while still maintaining the charm of the series.

Mega Man 11 mixes old-school level design, new shiny visuals, and new gameplay mechanics. It also features a variety of difficulty options that cater to almost every type of gamer out there. Visually the game uses 3D objects in a 2D plane which seems to have worked out quite well. Unlike previous games where beating a Boss and absorbing their powers just changed your character’s colour, Mega Man’s whole suit gets an overhaul in this new title.

In terms of levels, there’s a good variety in terms of design and visuals. Levels are long, tedious and can take a while to complete. Checkpoints are far and few but this has been balanced with the new mechanic that allows you to slow down time. This makes dodging and shooting enemies easier but its usage is limited and cannot be spammed infinitely. This along with the ability that makes Mega Man even more powerful make up the new “Double Gear System”. While it does make the game a little easier, you will need to master it to complete levels and to beat the bosses. Oh, and Bosses also have the “Double Gear System” so that makes things even more interesting and fun.

If you’re a fan of platformers or enjoyed playing the older Mega Man titles then you should check out Mega Man 11 because it is a lot of fun. Mega Man 11 is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Does Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Push Microtransactions?

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has been out for a couple of days now and there’s been a lot of mixed reviews. Some quite positive, some negative. And some have been trashing the microtransaction part of the game so let’s talk about that for a bit.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has Helix Credits, which can be used to buy skins, weapons and “Time Savers”. Many people have called the game grindy and are angry at Ubisoft for making the game grindy so that people invest in the Time Savers which boost the amount of XP you receive and reduce time requirements for certain things. It basically speeds up your character progress. Now I feel this is for the people who enjoy Assassin’s Creed games but don’t have the time to explore everything and to level up by playing through the side missions, contracts, and the various other side objectives. With a game as long as this, it is a good way for people who can’t make the time for it but still enjoy playing it to experience the story and the most of the game. While I can see why people can attribute its addition to the fact that the game feels grindy, I don’t think it is the worst offender.

Let’s talk about the part that is actually bullshit and is straight up an attempt at cash grab. Heka Chests. Legendary items cost 80 Orichalcalchum( Weapons cost 100). Orichalcum can be found in-game but in very small quantity, about 1 per rock. You get 10 Oricalchum through weekly quests which means 5 weeks of farming. Unless you pay for it of course.  So if you want to get the 2 premium sets that are currently in the game which contain armor and weapons, you will need to farm for a minimum of 10 weeks. That is absolute bullshit in my opinion and needs to be changed to a system similar to the one in Origins.

Ubisoft needs to fix this because besides this and the somewhat poor PC performance, the game has been praised by almost every major media outlet and reviewer and even fans of the series are quite happy with the game and are enjoying playing through it. Let us know what you feel about the microtransaction that is in the game and how it has affected your experience with the game.
