Bethesda Softworks has released the opening movie for Fallout 76, as well as announced that the “Break-It Early Test Application (B.E.T.A.)” will launch for Xbox One on October 23, followed by PlayStation 4 and PC on October 30. All users who pre-order the game will be granted access.
Here is an overview of the B.E.T.A., via Bethesda Softworks:
During the B.E.T.A. one of our primary goals is to stress test and break the game. As such, the servers will not be running 24/7; instead, they’ll be online during targeted timeframes so we can get as many people as possible playing at the same time. Why? Because that’s the best way to put all our systems to the test and see how they respond.
On any given day the game might be up for anywhere between four to eight hours. Focusing as many players as we can into these windows is our prime objective. Then we’ll fix what we need to fix and do it again and again from the start of B.E.T.A. until a few days before launch. We’ll give you as much heads up as possible because we need you to log in during these times and play the game. We’ll also keep you posted through our official @Fallout and @bethesdastudios on Twitter as well as the Bethesda.net forums and our Bethesda.net Status Page to learn when servers will be online.
Fallout 76 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 14.
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption will launch digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on October 18, and for PC and Mac as a “First on Discord” launch title later this year, with a Steam release to follow, publisher Another Indie and developer Dark Star Game Studios announced. It will cost $18.99 and support English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian language options.
Here is an overview of the game, via Another Indie:
Created by a team including a former Ubisoft art director, Konami senior programmer and a Blizzard technical artist, Sinner follows Adam, a soldier with a dark past. Adam embarks on a journey for absolution, facing off against monstrous beasts to reconcile his heinous crimes. Based on the seven deadly sins, these savage specters will reveal their personal connections with Adam as he advances his quest for atonement to a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack.
Before dueling each monstrosity, Adam must sacrifice a part of himself and accept a permanent debuff. Battles will become increasingly difficult with each sacrifice as Adam’s vitality is reduced, his arsenal breaks down and his armor withers away. Alternate gear can be unlocked in New Game+ mode, lending replayability to Adam’s journey for redemption.

Walk the path of madness in Call of Cthulhu’s latest gameplay trailer
Call of Cthulhu will release October 30 on PlayStation 4, XBOX One and PC. Today, we invite players to tread further down the path of madness in this new Gameplay Trailer, as the Darkwater investigation begins to spiral out of control in the midst of unsettling conspiracies, bizarre cults and even the Old Ones themselves.
In Private Investigator Edward Pierce’s quest to unveil the truth, players will need to rely on a variety of upgradeable Skills to escape the clutches of madness and death. The Spot Hidden and Investigation skill paths let players uncover more clues and draw more meaningful conclusions, unlocking more topics to question in dialogues. Convincing the distrustful locals of Darkwater to reveal what they know will require proficiency in Eloquence and Psychology. Pierce’s Strength skill may also come in handy for when brute force is necessary, or to intimidate impressionable people into offering whatever they’re hiding. Expertise in Medicine and Occultism, improved only through discovering unique books and artifacts throughout the investigation, may grant additional insight – but knowledge can be a curse in Call of Cthulhu. The more aware Pierce is made of the horrors that dwell beyond the fabrics of reality, the more he will fall to insanity, impeding his ability to draw logical conclusions.
Pierce is but a mortal man, with few allies in a remote, unfriendly environment. Whether outnumbered by mortal adversaries or facing foes whose mere existence is beyond human comprehension, offering physical resistance is usually not an option. Making the most of Pierce’s extensive set of skills, along with subterfuge and stealth, is paramount… though escaping the gaze of the Great Dreamer may ultimately prove futile.
Call of Cthulhu releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 30. Digital and retail preorders are available on PC and consoles.

Rockstar Games is renowned for their sprawling open world games that are filled with beautiful sights, a lot of small details and a world that seems very alive. With Red Dead Redemption 2, they plan on bringing that to the great Wild West once more.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will have a strong focus on the single player experience due to which it will have a world that is rich in interactivity and content. With the massive scale of the Wild West, Rockstar aims to also emulate the animals that roamed the Wild West’s frontier and in an effort to do so have created more than 200 species of animals. According to Rockstar, each animal will respond to its environment in a distinct way. In Red Dead Redemption 1, hunting animals was a very important mechanic and it makes a return in the sequel as well.
There might just be a Pokedex like codex that fills up as you embark on a quest to hunt down all the different species in the game, ranging from birds to fowl to fish. It will be intriguing to see how Rockstar approaches the single-player experience as well as the Online aspect of the game. Fans are afraid that it might go the route of GTA V which lacked Single Player content post-launch so fans are hoping this isn’t the case with Red Dead Redemption 2.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is one of the most looked forward to shooter this year because it seems like a breath of fresh air for the series and might just revitalize it due to its multiplayer.
However, in a first for the series, the game will launch with only 11 maps instead of the usual 15 plus. This could be because of the focus on Blackout, the battle royale multiplayer game mode but longtime fans of the series are not happy with this decision. This is mainly due to the low map size which has only 7 new maps as 4 of the 11 maps are remakes of old maps, namely Summit, Jungle, Slums and Firing Range.
The New maps include Arsenal, Contraband, Gridlock, Frequency, Seas Side, Hacienda and Payload. Treyarch plans to include newer maps post-launch but it will available to those who have the Black Ops pass, although the remake of Nuke Town should be available for free for everyone post-launch.
While the initial low map count could also be to accommodate the new Blackout mode so that players try it out and to make matchmaking easier since Treyarch expects a huge majority to play Blackout and don’t want those who are playing the other multiplayer game modes to have issues finding games due to lack of player count.
The initial report that Telltale Games’ was shutting down took a lot of people by surprise including its own employees who were laid off without any prior warning. This has come to bite Telltale as a Former employee is suing the company in a class-action lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that Telltale Games violated labor laws on the books in California and Nationwide when it laid off more than a hundred employees. The former employee, Vernie Roberts, submitted the class-action lawsuit on behalf of himself and his fellow laid-off workers. The complaint states that Telltale let go of employees “without cause” or “without providing an advanced written notice as required by the WARN Act”.
The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act(WARN) stipulates that most businesses with at least 100 full-time employees must notify them 60 days in advance of any plant closings or mass layoffs. Mass layoff here is defined as a reduction of more than 50 or more employees within a 30 day period or any layoff of 500 or more workers. This gets even more stringent in California as it lowers the minimum business fulltime employees to 75 and applies to reduction of at least 50 employees.
According to Robert’s complaint, Telltale laid off approximately 275 employees and did so without providing any severance or warnings. The laid-off employees will also only be receiving medical benefits until the end of the September. If they were to win, Robert and the laid-off employees would be given the salary and benefits for a full 60 days following their termination from Telltale.
The verdict for this is not out yet but it seems like Telltale’s grave is getting deeper by the day. Ubisoft and Valve have reached out to Telltale employees for employment opportunities which is a good gesture from these companies and a good way to get some really talented folk.
