Sapphire Technologies, the name you see on several AMD cards has officially listed its version of AMD’s new flagship, Radeon VII.
According to AMD, Radeon VII will compete with Nvidia’s RTX 2080, edging over it in several games. Unfortunately, there wasn’t all of the information at the CES, especially the one we were looking for. But with Sapphire’s listing, we know a lot more.
Currently, as the things turn out to be, it seems that AMD hasn’t given its partner enough time to work and come up with custom designs. So, it is likely that most designs would be similar to AMD’s reference card design if not the same.
Sapphire’s listing tells us that the new RTX 2080 competitor has 3,840 Steam processors and has a 1,800 MHz and 1,450 MHz clock speeds, boost and base clock respectively. These clock speeds are 50 MHz lower than AMD’s listing.
The card will be powered by two 8-pin PCI-e cables, demanding a total of 300 W to run. Just for comparison, RTX 2080 draws just 215 W to run. The chipmaker recommends a minimum power supply of 650 W for average builts. However, if you want to overclock the card, we suggest that you buy a more powerful or a more efficient power supply to make sure that you have enough headroom.
The AMD flagship will become available on 7 February, starting around the price of $699.
Also, as a limited time offer, you get the whole ‘Raise the Game’ bundle, which includes Resident Evil 2 along with two upcoming titles, Tom Clancy’s The Division: II and Devil May Cry 5.
Fortnite never stops with the update and with Fortnite Update v7.30, there’s been a lot of good additions for Mobile Gamers.

The sudden news of Metro Exodus being an Epic Games Store exclusive was also a surprise to THQ Nordic as they tweeted out explaining the situation.
not want to categorically exclude the possibility of timed exclusives for any of our games in the future, but speaking in the here and now, we definitely want to have the players choose the platform of their liking and make our portfolio available to as many outlets as possible. pic.twitter.com/oOI52rLDAi
About 24 hours ago, a notice popped up on the steam page of Metro Exodus which stated that the game would be removed from the Steam Store within 24 hours as the publisher decided to make the game exclusive to another store. The good news though was that folks who pre-ordered it will still have the games in their library and will be able to play it on Steam.
THQ Nordic were also taken by surprise and decided to let their thoughts be known about the situation and how they had no part in this deal. The game has also been taken off the Windows Store.
Epic Games Store aims to take on Steam and are doing so by offering developers a better cut and by giving users free games that are good. However, I feel that by making a game exclusive to their store isn’t really a good move because you’re forced to use their platform then instead of having a choice to choose from.
GOG has DRM free games, Steam has good sales and a pre-existing community so why am I being forced to use a platform that I might not want to use. Not to mention, Steam has regional pricing in Rupees and accepts domestic ways to make purchases which makes it easier for Indian gamers to buy games. Plus, as THQ Nordic have put it themselves, they want their games to available on as many platforms as possible and this certainly isn’t helping with that.
So instead of making games exclusive and forcing me to play on your platform, why not make a platform that actually makes me want to buy games from there? Not to mention, Steam’s review system has gotten a lot better over time while Epic Games doesn’t even have one. This might just help soften the blow if the reviews aren’t good.
Metro Exodus will be available on other stores after a year when the timed exclusivity runs out. For now, it’s available only on the Epic Games Store for $19.99 in India. What are your thoughts about this? Let us know in the comments below.
Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Insomniac Games have released the version 1.14 update for Marvel’s Spider-Man, which includes the “Bombastic Bag-Man Suit” and “Future Foundation Suit” for Spider-Man.
Here is some background on the suits, via Insomniac Games writer Christos Gage on the PlayStation Blog:
Spidey has a long history with the Fantastic Four, going back to 1963’s Amazing Spider-Man #1, when our rookie wall-crawler tried to join the team—only to end up fighting them! That was just the beginning of many years of adventure (including the 2010 Spider-Man / Fantastic Four miniseries written by yours truly and drawn by Mario Alberti) that has led us to today, with the new Fantastic Four comic written by longtime Spidey-scribe and game story contributor Dan Slott.
There have been too many cool Spidey / Fantastic Four moments to count, but one of the most memorable in their illustrious history was in Amazing Spider-Man #258, when Spidey swung by the Fantastic Four’s headquarters for help with the alien symbiote he was wearing as a costume (that’s right, it later became Venom). The Fantastic Four got it off, but then Spidey was left in his underpants (we’d never do something that silly in the game… wait, I’m being told we did). So Spidey borrowed a Fantastic Four costume… but they don’t have masks! So, to conceal Peter Parker’s secret identity, his frenemy, the Human Torch, gave Spidey a grocery bag to wear on his head. As The Thing might say, what a revoltin’ development!
Another chapter in their shared story came when Spidey actually joined the Fantastic Four, then calling themselves the Future Foundation, and they all wore cool black and white costumes. Hey, Dan wrote many of those issues, and I scripted one or two myself! That suit was awesome looking because – but you don’t want to hear me yap, look for yourself!
Marvel’s Spider-Man is available now for PlayStation 4.
Multiple Czech online sellers have leaked an Assassin’s Creed remaster bundle for the Nintendo Switch.
The remaster bundle comes with Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed Liberation. While we knew a remaster for 3 was in the works, what we did not know was that there was also a Switch bundled release coming.
The choice of the remaster also seems weird at first glance because Assassin’s Creed 3 is a game which has fans split. They either hate the game or love the game and also received a lot of flak on its original release. Liberation was a handheld exclusive before making its way to other platforms and featured the first playable female assassin.
The reason for this remaster though is probably because Assassin’s Creed 3 just got a remaster for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 so porting that would be much easier along with added benefits of having better textures and lighting.
There are a lot of games releasing on February 15th with Far Cry New Dawn, Metro Exodus, Crackdown 3 and also the Anthem Early Access. While all those won’t be coming out on the Switch, they’re all games that have a lot of hype behind them.
The fact that there’s been no official release from Ubisoft yet is also not going to help it but then again, many of the Switch users who have heard this news are pretty excited to get their hands on an Assassin’s Creed game on the Switch.
If this is the start of Ubisoft porting more Assassin’s Creed games to the Switch then it ain’t bad at all. While we most likely wont get games like Unity which is notorious for its power hungry requirements and the newer titles like Origins and Odyssey, we might just get a title like Assassin’s Creed IV or Rogue which are both really good Assassin’s Creed game and also closely tie in with the plot of both Assassin’s Creed 3 and Liberation
The announcement trailer for Dragon Ball Game– Project Z, an all-new Action RPG for PS4, XB1 and PC is out now and we’re going to analyze it and talk more about this upcmoing title.
In this epic retelling, you will be able to play through the legendary adventures of the Saiyan named Kakarot…better known as Goku – recounting the beloved story of DRAGON BALL Z like never before. Developed in partnership with CyberConnect2, the game (with full title to be announced) will launch in 2019 featuring both Japanese and English voiceovers.
We don’t have a lot of information about the game but we do have enough to make a decent guess at what the game will be like. For most parts it seems like a remaster of or heavily inspired by Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku, a game for the GameBoy Advanced developed by Webfoot Technologies.
Legacy of Goku came out in 2002 and since this game only went up till the end of the Frieza saga, Webfoot made two more sequels named, The Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu’s Fury. In 2016, they did announce that they were making a sequel to those games as they started an Indie-GoGo campaign for it but it seems to have died down because there’s been no recent updates. We’ve reached out to them and will update this post if we hear back from them.
From the trailer though, it seems to be focused on the story of Son Goku and only shows moments till the Frieza saga with the last most scene from the show/manga being Goku turning SSJ for the first time. This is one of the main reasons why we think it is a Legacy of Goku inspired title, more-so with the fact that it is an Action-RPG title.
The visuals look similar to almost all mainstream Dragon Ball games with cell-shaded 3D models and environments. It also looks like this will be a 3D fighting game like Xenoverse 2 and not like FighterZ. Most of what we saw seemed to be footage from the game engine with only the last shots of Goku walking being actual gameplay.
In terms of locations, we have West City, Kame House, Namek, The forest near Goku’s house and a forest near West City. It will be interesting to see if it’ll be an open-world game or if we’ll be locked to small hubs which we can travel between from a menu. I’m hoping for an open-world game with side-missions and such.
Join Goku and fellow warriors in the neverending search for the ultimate fight — COMING 2019!
What’s interesting to note is that the game will release in 2019. We’re in the first month of 2019 with 11 more months left but it still seems like a really quick release date. This could probably be the reason why we’ve only seen Pre-Android saga footage because maybe it just isn’t ready or maybe they’ll be added later on to the game.
However, in this day and age it doesn’t make sense to release the game in episodic parts because even if they go the Hitman 2016 route with it, it really doesn’t make sense unless they’re trying to release the game ASAP to stay on the hype that the Broly movie has created and the inevitable announcement of the continuation of the Dragon Ball Super anime.
Another worrying aspect is that will this game also not be distributed in India due to a licensing issue. India has a huge Dragon Ball fan following and a lot of them would happily buy Xenoverse and FighterZ if they’d be available on the official marketplace but sadly have to get the games through re-sellers which sucks.
It is a great time to be a Dragon Ball fan and with so much Dragon Ball content coming our way, I can’t wait to see more about Project Z.
Sebastian Stepien, the Head Writer and Creative Director behind Cyberpunk 2077 has left CD Projekt Red and joined Blizzard.
As spotted by PCGamer, Sebastian, who worked for CD Projekt Red for almost 12 and half years has left the company and joined Blizzard Entertainment as a Creative Director.
While working at CD Projekt Red, Sebastian worked his way up the writing team before becoming part of the third member of the trio of creative directors which included Konrad Tomaskiewicz and Mateusz Kanik on The Witcher 3. He was the lead story designer for The Witcher 3 after which he became the Creative Director as well as the Narrative and Setting Director of Cyberpunk 2077.
We know for a fact that CD Projekt Red started work on Cyberpunk just as development for The Witcher 3 was winding up and now that the game is finally close to its release, it can be safe to assume that the story and narrative of Cyberpunk 2077 is not going to change anymore. We’ve already seen gameplay footage and now that Sebastian is leaving, it can only mean that his work is done because making changes to the narrative at this stage in the development cycle could be a bit of a risky thing to do.
What’s interesting is that he’s moved to Blizzard, a company that is currently downsizing and letting go of staff. Another thing to note is that we don’t know what they’re working on right now as the latest project they’ve announced is Diablo Immortal which is a mobile game. Maybe his acquisition is the start of the development of Diablo 4 or maybe a completely different game.
Since they’ve hired a man whose previous works have been very story-centric, it’ll be interesting to see what project he will work on.
Snow has taken over the Battle Royale island after the Ice King live event and Epic has rolled out 7.20 update to give it a more wintry feel. The update has brought an intriguing item to the game, the Snowman!
The snowman is a tool of disguise. You can wear it (just as you would wear a bush) or you could throw one to create a decoy. If you wear one, you can do nothing but just move. If you switch to built mode or to a weapon, you give away your ‘Snowman disguise.’ The Snowman comes in common rarity and you can often find one lying around as a floor loot. However, you can also find one in a chest.
3 items have been vaulted in this patch which include the Port-a-Fortress, the Quad Launcher and the Grappler (why EPIC ?!) Apart from vaulting and adding, Epic has made some other minor changes as well. Epic has ‘swapped the drop chance of Shield Potions and Small Shield Potions’ and reduced the spawn rate of gliders, balloons, X-Stormwing Planes and Quadcrasher.
This year’s CES has been amazing, but as usual, there was some really ‘unusual’ stuff at CES this year too. Here are the top 5 weird gadgets that caught our eye at CES 2019.
If your pillow started to breathe, it would be pretty creepy, right? But that is the whole idea behind Somnox. This bean-shaped pillow is designed to breathe and match the rhythm of your heartbeat to help you drift into your dreamland. If that doesn’t help you doze off, it can play audiobooks or sing lullabies to help. It seems like that the world seriously needs some form of affection.
Touchpoint Stress Relievers
If I told you that you can wear a set of vibrating bracelets to relieve stress off your mind, you wouldn’t believe that it would possibly work. But it was there at the CES and it works! These stress relievers by touchpoint claim to reduce stress by more than 70 per cent in just 30 seconds. The technology used is called ‘Blasting’ (we don’t know why.)
Every day, machines are becoming more effective and humans are becoming lazier. Zocus can help you tackle your daily procrastination by effectively eliminating distractions. This $99-dollar device disables your notifications when you are working and focused, and lets them through when you are on a break. Seems like self-discipline has a high price now-a-days.
People will do anything to get in shape (except working out and eating right). If you know someone who has $481 to spare, ask them to get a pair of Modius’s headgear (if you consider it that). This device stimulates parts of the brain that have been known to reduce appetite and in turn, help cut out that excess body fat.
This AI robo-mouse acts as prey for your cat. It runs and mimics the movement of a real mouse, has various tail options to customise it to your cat’s liking and costs just $140 (you didn’t see that coming, did you?). Anyway, it might be a good investment if your cat is too lazy.
Well that’s pretty much it for this year, god knows what we’ll see next year.
After almost a month of delay, Xbox and PlayStation players can finally enjoy PUBG’s new snow map, Vikendi. PUBG’s fourth map is 6x6km large which places it between the smaller Sanhok (2×2 km) and the larger maps namely, Miramar and Erangel (8×8 km). PUBG Corp. has rolled out a new update that brings Vikendi to consoles. The map has been available for PC and mobile players for over a month now.
The map is covered with snow and brings along the “Vikendi Survivor Pass.” The survivor pass offers players with various challenges which they can complete over the period of 10 weeks to earn cosmetic items in return. The snowmobile has also been added to the map as an exclusive vehicle. It reportedly performs better on snow but struggles on other terrains. Two new weapons, the Scorpion and the G36C have been added to the game. While scorpion can be found on all maps, the G36C is exclusive to the Vikendi.
Adding a cherry to the cake are several bug tweaks and performance optimizations. The parachute system has also been revamped.
