MortaL Retires from Competitive PUBG Mobile

Team SouL recently won the hearts of every Indian PUBG fan after they made their way to PMCO Berlin and came in at 12th place after putting up a very valiant effort. But it seems like heartbreak isn’t over for Team SouL fans as MortaL has announced that he’s retiring from Competitive PUBG Mobile.

As seen from his Youtube Community post, Naman “MortaL” Mathur is stepping down as a competitive player from Team SouL but will still be a part of the organization probably as a streamer and not a pro player. He doesn’t know about who will replace him yet as that is up to the team and not him.

It is also important to note that he did not decide this after the PMCO Berlin performance but had realized that being a professional player and being a streamer at the same time was hard during the Regional Qualifiers for PMCO in Delhi. He now wants to focus on streaming and trying out different games besides PUBG Mobile.

It’s safe to say that the decision did come out of the blue but the man is just looking for happiness and if streaming gives him that happiness then props to him for not forcing himself to play competitively. He may return to the esports scene later but that’s a maybe and doesn’t seem like it will be any time soon.

This must be a big change for him and we would like to wish Naman the best in this endeavor.

Tekken 7 Adds New Character Leroy Smith along with Zafina in Season 3

Tekken 7 is getting a brand new Season along with a Season Pass 3. This new update will add new moves to all characters, brings back Zafina and Leroy Smith.

Leroy Smith is a man who was born in New York but lost his family because of gang violence. He left the city and now returns 50 years later as a master in Wing Chun, the same Martial Arts that Ip Man studied and taught.

The other character revealed for Season 3 is Zafina who was introduced in Tekken 6. Zafina returns but this time she seems to have absorbed the powers of Azazel and might be having some trouble keeping its evil from taking control.

This Season will also bring a major update to the game as all the characters will be getting new moves added to their moveset. This will probably change the meta of the game.

Ninja Moves to Mixer after Leaving Twitch

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has decided to leave Twitch and move to a Microsoft’s streaming service, Mixer.

He announced this with a Youtube video on his channel where he has a press conference but only takes questions from people who seem to bear a striking resemblance to the man himself.

This is a big move in the streaming world since he was synonymous with Twitch especially after breaking a bunch of Twitch records when he streaming with Drake. He isn’t the only one moving to different platforms as Youtube Sensation Pewdiepie has moved to DLive to livestream.

Does this mean that we’ll see a migration of streamers from Twitch to Mixer? We’re not sure about that but since Ninja has seen a decline in Twitch viewership, he might not have the same numbers on Mixer. This does mean that he’s left a pretty big hole which someone else might be able to fill.

For Microsoft to make this happen, they must’ve paid him insane amounts of money and they’re betting a lot on this because if this doesn’t work then Mixer might not make it like Twitch or even YouTube for that matter.

Destiny 2 Will Now Go Free to Play on 1st October

If you’re someone who is interested in Destiny 2 and still hasn’t bought the game since it was supposed to go free-to-play on 17th September, you might have to wait a bit longer.

The original plan was to release Destiny 2 New Light, the free to play version of the game along with the Shadowkeep DLC on September 17th. However, it looks like Bungie needs a bit more time to polish this since it’s going to be a huge change to the game. So now they’ve decided to release it two weeks later, on October 1st.

If they get this wrong, they’ll possibly turn off a lot of players from playing the game so it makes that they would rather take the risk of delaying the game rather than release it to the masses with bugs.

If you didn’t know about Destiny 2 going free-to-play here’s a quick gist. Destiny 2 New Light is what it’s been titled and comes with all the Year One content for free.

All You Need to Know about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Reveal Tonight

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the most looked forward to first-person shooters and the hype for this game keeps building as we inch closer to the release date and get tidbits of information. The multiplayer reveal is tonight at 10:30PM IST which means we can expect a lot of new info.

However, we have information from someone who claims to have been at the Multiplayer Event and they decided to do an impromptu AMA(Ask Me Anything) about the Multiplayer aspect of the game.

Reddit User PotatoA1mz  seemed extremely excited about the game and loved every moment of the game and go on to say that the game is a 10/10. They were also really taken aback with the plethora of customization each weapon had.

They also revealed something very interesting. The game has licensed Metallica music which is pretty awesome and will have it both, in the trailer tonight and also in the game itself.

The game will also feature a 20v20 Game mode that is chaotic and fun with maps that are sized appropriately so it doesn’t turn into a map that’s overcrowded or where it’s hard to find players.

Aside from this, we also know that when using KillStreaks in multiplayer, players will be able to use White Phsophouros, a deadly chemical weapon to kill their foes. If you’ve played Spec Ops: The Line, you know what this is.

We can’t confirm anything that the Reddit user posted but the trailer tonight will confirm whether or not the information they provided was true or not. It’s safe to say though that we’re extremely excited for this game and hope it can recapture the magic of the original two Modern Warfare titles.

Borderlands 3 Has Gone Gold

Borderlands 3 has gone gold. This means that the game has reached version 1.0 and is ready to be shipped. This is usually the final version of the game pre-launch.

The game has gone gold about a month a half before it’s release date which is on September 13th. While the game is ready, we are yet to see character trailers for the rest of the playable characters besides Zane so as we get closer to the release date we can see more of these trailers.

Even though Borderlands 3 has been getting a bit of bad press because of the Epic Games Store exclusivity and because of Randy Pitchford’s antics, the game is still looked forward to by many people and is still an absolute fan favourite.

Borderlands 3 launches on September 13th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and on PC exclusively via the Epic Games Store.
