There’s more Ryzen 3000 news for AMD fans! According to Yuri Bubily, the developer of DRAM calculator of Ryzen processors, the upcoming 7nm Zen 2 based CPUs will support up to 5000 MHz of DDR4 memory.
In a Twitter post, Yuri said,”I think it’s time to start The maximum value of the frequency of RAM Zen 2 generation is 5000 MHz mode UCLK == MEMCLK / 2.”
One thing to note, however, is that this is the highest clock speed Ryzen 3000 can support, and even then not all parts may be able to attain it. Extreme overlockers may be able to achieve it using some of the non-conventional methods but most consumers aren’t extreme overclockers.
In any case, it’s great to see support for such high memory frequency coming to Ryzen, even though it may not achievable by everyone. Well, who knows? Maybe someday.
