Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Blackout Tips to Help You Get Started

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out and so is the long-awaited Blackout game mode. People have been hyped about this game mode and so far, it’s been delivering a really fun experience. However, you may be struggling or maybe you just want some tips to help you get started. So here’s a couple of tips to help you get started on your Blackout journey.

Do Solo Training

Use the Solo Training mode. It familiarizes you with the weapons, gadgets and even unlocks characters for you to use in Blackout. It’s a great way to get used to the mechanics of the game which will give you an edge when you first start playing the game. A lot of people like to skip this and don’t bother doing it but, you really should.

Wing it

The wingsuit can be used as a great way to get out of sticky situations if you’re in an elevated place. While you can use it when you first jump from the chopper, it can be used whenever you want during the game as long as you have enough height to use it. Set up a trap, get enemies to come towards and jump away as you watch them die.

Zombies Can be your Friends

Zombie infected areas are a great place to go as they can net you a lot of good loot and armour, especially if a super zombie spawns. However, keep in mind that engaging them will draw attention towards you. You can also use these areas to set up ambush spots. Let other players do the dirty work and once they’re leaving with all the good stuff you swoop in and take em down and enjoy that good loot.

Final Circles and Being in Buildings is a No No

Like in all other Battle Royale games, try avoiding staying inside a building during the final circle. Players will probably have a lot of gadgets and utility to either flush you out or bury you alive inside. Unless you have a Trophy System that can get rid of incoming explosives, but even then it’s pretty risky.

Get To the Chopper

Blackout has a huge variety of vehicles to traverse the map but one of the really good ones that can help get you out of a pinch is the Helicopter. Do a bit of research and learn their spawn points because if you’re ever in a hurry, these can really save you and your squad. Not to mention, they’re great for covering long distance quickly in case you have a new plan in mind.

The Power of the D-Pad

The D-pad has a lot of functionality in Blackout. You can scroll through the items of a downed enemy quickly bys using the d-pad. You can also quick equip weapon attachments that are on the ground with the press of a button without needing to go into the inventory menu. Time is of the essence and this is one way to make sure you won’t get caught out while you’re in the menu.

That’s just a few tips to help you get started in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode. The game is a lot of fun so don’t stress it too much and just go and have some fun.
