RANKED LEAGUES

Check out the full details on our goals, how Ranked Mode works, and more here.

One thing we forgot to mention in the blog post: Players abandoning in Ranked will be penalized both with a matchmaking penalty, as well as have any potential RP gains zeroed out. On top of that, they will pay an additional penalty RP cost equal to their match entry cost. For example: if a Gold player gets 4 kills and would have finished top 5 but abandons his or her match on purpose, that player will get 0 RP for kills and placement, pay the 2 RP entry cost, and on top of that pay another 2 RP abandon penalty cost.

Apex Legends Season 2 – Battle Charge Launch Trailer

Apex Legends Season 2 starts on 2nd July and we have a trailer to showcase the changes coming to the 2nd Season of Apex Legends.

This new Season introduces a new Legend, Wattson:

Static Defender

Natalie “Wattson” Paquette is a familiar face in the Apex Games, though for a different reason than most. Daughter of the Games’ lead electrical engineer, she studied his manuals to stay close to him, and discovered her calling at a young age. Though she could be completely distracted one moment and hyper-focused the next, electricity grounded her – its ordered, predictable flow made sense in a way the rest of the world didn’t.

Kings Canyon looks a bit different these days. Control the battle as Wattson, a Legend who uses electric fences and pylons to protect her team. Prove you’re the best in a brand-new Ranked Leagues mode. Grab the heavy-hitting L-STAR machine gun, dive into an improved Battle Pass, and more – all in Apex Legends Season 2.

Apex Legends Recent Patch Resets All Player Progression, Fix is Now Live

In a major fumble by the folks at Respawn, a recent patch for Apex Legends reset all player progression back to level 1, and had players scrambling in confusion.

Many took to Reddit to express their concern and found others facing the same issue. However, Respawn was quick to respond and fixed the issue with another update shortly after. They also went on to explain what had happened, and how it would affect players:

WHAT HAPPENED?

When the 1.1 update went live, players were unintentionally moved to the wrong servers that didn’t have their persistence and this caused players accounts to appear reset with all progression lost.

WHAT DID RESPAWN DO TO FIX IT?

Fortunately, your progress up until the update was still safe and sound. They shut down all live servers so they could remove players from the wrong place and roll up the correct servers with your progress. Once they confirmed internally that they had fixed the issue they started rolling out the right servers starting with Xbox and staggered the updates to PS4 and PC.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR PROGRESS?

Everything you’ve accomplished and bought in Apex up until the 1.1 Patch that went live at 10:00 PST today should be restored.

  • Any in-game purchases and progress acquired during the time between 1.1 going live and the fix will be reverted – levels earned, items unlocked, packs opened, and spent currency. If you continued to play and didn’t patch then this will not affect you.
  • Any currency purchased, spent or not, will be carried back over to their original account state. i.e. – if you bought $20 worth of coins, and spent $18, then you’ll will get $20 after the fix.
