Top 5 Cyberpunk Games To Play Before Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is still probably at least a year away, and if you’re feeling the itch for something neon and futuristic, check out these games:

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

The year is 2029, and mechanically augmented humans have now been deemed outcasts, living a life of complete and total segregation from the rest of society.

Now an experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has grown to despise his kind. Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and augmentations, he must choose the right approach, along with who to trust, in order to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy.

Shadowrun

In 2012, magic returned to our world, awakening powerful creatures of myth and legend. Among them was the Great Dragon Feuerschwinge, who emerged without warning from the mountains of Germany, unleashing fire, death, and untold destruction across the countryside. It took German forces nearly four months to finally shoot her down – and when they did, their victory became known as The Dragonfall.

It’s 42 years later – 2054 – and the world has changed. Unchecked advances in technology have blurred the line between man and machine. Elves and trolls walk among us, ruthless corporations bleed the world dry, and Feuerschwinge’s reign of terror is just a distant memory. Germany is splintered – a stable anarchy known as the “Flux State” controls the city of Berlin. It’s a place where power is ephemeral, almost anything goes, and the right connections can be the difference between success and starvation. For you and your team of battle-scarred shadowrunners, there’s no better place to earn a quick payday.

Mirror’s Edge

In a city where information is heavily monitored, agile couriers called Runners transport sensitive data away from prying eyes. In this seemingly utopian paradise, a crime has been committed, your sister has been framed and now you are being hunted. You are a Runner called Faith and this innovative first-person action-adventure is your story.

Dreamfall Chapters

Dreamfall Chapters is a stand-alone game in The Longest Journey saga; a narrative third-person 3D adventure set in the twin worlds of science and magic. Embark on a magical journey across Stark and Arcadia in a setting that mixes cyberpunk sci-fi with magical fantasy.

Play as Zoë Castillo, a young woman seeking answers to her own identity; Kian Alvane, a disgraced Apostle and assassin seeking redemption; and Saga, a mysterious child trapped in a house between worlds. Experience an engaging story about choices and consequences, dreams and reality, magic and science, chaos and order, and the three people whose actions will shape the course of history — in all worlds.

Satellite Reign

Satellite Reign is a real-time, class-based strategy game, set in an open-world cyberpunk city. You command a group of 4 agents through rain-soaked, neon-lit streets, where the law is the will of mega-corporations. Use your agents to sneak, shoot, steal, and sabotage your way up the corporate ladder, and take control of the most powerful monopoly of all time.

Cyberpunk 2077 Will be at E3 2019

It has been a while since we heard or saw any news regarding Cyberpunk 2077 but we finally have something to look forward to. The official Cyberpunk 2077 twitter account tweeted that it will be present at E3 2019.

Cyberpunk 2077 got it’s first gameplay trailer at E3 2018 last year which collectively blew everybody’s mind and made people get on the hype train faster than Geralt could say “Wind’s Howling”.

If that wasn’t enough, CD Projekt Red decided to go ahead and get everybody hot and heavy in August with a 48-minute long walkthrough gameplay video that showed off the world of Cyberpunk 2077 along with how different the gameplay is from the Witcher trilogy.

So you might ask yourself, what does Cyberpunk 2077 being at E3 2019 mean? We’ve seen a lot about the game but we still don’t have any clear information on when the game will release. This E3 might be the one that gives us that information.

The Witcher 3 was shown at E3 2013 and E3 2014 followed by a release in the middle of 2015 during May. This could mean that Cyberpunk 2077 is maybe about a year away from release or sooner since Cyberpunk 2077’s Creative Director left CDPR to join Blizzard earlier this year.

If CDPR decides to go for the 7/7/2020 release date, it will be after E3 2020 which is really far away but will be a great way to market the game. However, from all the reports we’ve been hearing about the game being in the final stages, we might get the game sooner than expected.

E3 2019 is just 3 months away so we don’t have to wait too long to get new Cyberpunk 2077 information. How excited are you for the game and when do you think they might release it? Let us know be commenting below.

Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date Leaked

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games right now that doesn’t have any official release date. However, it could release as early as 2019 according to this now deleted tweet.

Bilkom is a company that previously helped with the publication of The Witcher 3 in Turkey by working with CD Projekt Red. The tweet translates to “The makers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt’s new game [is] Cyberpunk 2077. With assurance [/guarantee] in Turkey in the year 2019.” The tweet has since been deleted for obvious reasons but if it’s true could mean that the game is in its final testing and that CDPR will soon drop news about the release date.
