Parenting + Video Games = Disaster?

Here’s a video of a parent asking his kid to smash up their PS4 for getting low grades in school.

The kid is wearing a Fortnite T-shirt, which the parent got him in the first place. And when the kid starts to smash it up in the living room, the mother asks both the dad and the kid to take the whole thing outside and continue.

Once outside, the kid starts crying as he flimsily starts beating the PS4 with a rod, at which point the dad, disappointed with his young son’s ability to smash up PS4s, picks up a big rock and drops it on the PS4.

Enjoy!

Fortnite 7.20 patch update, Vaulted Items, Snowman and more!

Snow has taken over the Battle Royale island after the Ice King live event and Epic has rolled out 7.20 update to give it a more wintry feel. The update has brought an intriguing item to the game, the Snowman!

The snowman is a tool of disguise. You can wear it (just as you would wear a bush) or you could throw one to create a decoy. If you wear one, you can do nothing but just move. If you switch to built mode or to a weapon, you give away your ‘Snowman disguise.’ The Snowman comes in common rarity and you can often find one lying around as a floor loot. However, you can also find one in a chest.

3 items have been vaulted in this patch which include the Port-a-Fortress, the Quad Launcher and the Grappler (why EPIC ?!) Apart from vaulting and adding, Epic has made some other minor changes as well. Epic has ‘swapped the drop chance of Shield Potions and Small Shield Potions’ and reduced the spawn rate of gliders, balloons, X-Stormwing Planes and Quadcrasher.

Fortnite live Event brings Snow and Zombies back to the BR

Fortnite, again pulled off a great live event. The snow ball that was hovering over polar peak for a long time, is there no more. And now the whole the map is covered with snow. Map is filled with Ice Legions which spawn Ice Brutes and Ice Fiends Zombies.

On 20th January 21, 2019 at 12:30 A.M. this Ice King live event took place. The Ice King trapped inside the snowball came to life. A bigger Ice King replication rose from behind and casted a ‘blizzard spell’ upon the whole island.

With this new update to the game, Epic has also introduced 13 ‘Ice Storm Challenges’, offering huge XP and some dope rewards upon completion.  And completion of all 13 challenges will reward the players with a special glider.

Top 5 Battle Royale Games | Best of 2018

  1. PUBG Mobile

While PUBG took over the world by storm last year, PUBG Mobile has become a game-changing phenomenon in India. Folks across the country have been infected by the PUBG fever, and it has exposed more people to the joys of playing with friends than any other game ever did.
  2. Fortnite

Well, we know that Fortnite is technically not a 2018 release, but it would be unfair to disregard the significance that Fornite had this year. It’s easily the biggest game in the world right now, and, for many people, the first introduction to video games.
  3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (Blackout)

Call of Duty has made a triumphant comeback, with boots on the ground multiplayer and Blackout is easily the best Battle Royale mode around right now.
  4. Ring of Elysium

In what seemed like a fresh change of pace from PUBG, Ring of Elysium is actually quite a competent Battle Royale game. Sure, it could use a little more polish, but it’s quite enjoyable as it is. Not to mention, YOU CAN SNOWBOARD. And it’s free-to-play, so that’s cool too.
  5. Red Dead Online

Now there’s something we never saw coming. Well, not really, because it’s stupid to expect any big multiplayer game to NOT have a battle royale component. Unlike its competitors, though, Red Dead Online’s take on battle royale is simple, slow and creates a lot of tension.

Fortnite Creative Announced; Available from December 6th

Fortnite and Epic Games are changing things up yet again and this time are doing so with the announcement of Fortnite Creative.

Fortnite Creative is an open world creative mode for the game where you can build whatever you want, however you want by using the game’s tools. You can build your games from the looks of it so expect a lot of custom game modes to come from this. Once everybody gets their hands on this and get familiar with the mode, we can hope to expect some really innovative and unique game modes from people that you and your friends can participate in.

This game mode will be available from December 6th to Battle Pass holders and from December 13th for everyone else. The mode is separate from Save the World and Battle Royale so expect a lot of new features and improvements over the coming months as we’re bound to see a whole new community for the creative mode of the game.

According to the Epic Game’s blog post you can “Design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite. It’s all happening on your own private island where everything you make is saved.”. How your own “private island” works is not yet known but if they give players the ability to use dedicated servers, this game could very well rival Minecraft in terms of the building aspect, albeit without probably being as in-depth and robust as Minecraft which has had years to perfect it’s gameplay.

It is exciting to see Epic Games still trying new things, especially after the announcement of the Epic Game’s Store which plans to take on Steam and now with this announcement which is bound to add some freshness and something for players who are not a fan of the Battle Royale game mode.

Fortnite Now Allows You To Send Gifts

Fortnite’s 6.31 update now allows users to gift each other in-game items that are available in the Fortnite Store.

Players have been requesting this feature for a very long time and can now finally gift their friends the items that they want. This feature is available on every platform that Fortnite is available on except iOS. The reason for this is as stated by Epic Games is, “gifting is not available on iOS devices because Apple’s policies prohibit it.” However since the game is available on so many different platforms, it shouldn’t be too difficult for iOS users to find a different way to send and receive gifts.

Follow the steps below to buy and send gifts:

  • Go into the Item Shop and choose an item you want to gift.
  • You will get two options: Purchase Items or Buy as A Gift. Choose Buy as A Gift.
  • You will now get to choose who you want to send the gift the gift to and add a custom message if you’d like.

And it is that simple to send gifts to your friends. There are some things that you should keep in mind before you can send a gift to someone:

  • Multifactor Authentication must be enabled.
  • You must be friends with the person for a minimum of 48 hours(2 days).
  • You can only gift three times in 24 hours.
  • You can only gift items present in the Fortnite Item Store.
  • Gifts cannot be refunded.

If you’re someone who doesn’t like to be gifted things then you can turn off the option to receive gifts by disabling them in the Account Settings. And that’s all you need to know about gifting, just in time for the Christmas season. Now spread some holiday cheer if you’d like and have fun.
