Free Fire just like other battle royale games offers players over 40 weapons to choose from but not all weapons were made equal. Some guns give you a tactical advantage over your enemies. They also provide you with better options as to how to engage with your opponents.
The Groza is hands down the best assault rifle you’ll find in Free Fire. The sad part is, that you can only find it in airdrops, but if you do find it, go with it because it’s better than all the other assault rifles.
It has a high rate of fire, high damage, and very low recoil. So if you can get to the airdrop and loot it, by all means, do it because it will definitely be worth it.
FAMAS is another solid assault rifle whose damage is a little higher than the SCAR. Its rate of fire is pretty good too so if you can find this, we recommend it over the SCAR any day. It is also the only burst fire weapon in the game.
Due to its ability to one tap, the FAMAS has great accuracy and damage. However, In the right hands, the FAMAS is the best assault rifle in the game and possibly the best weapon in the game.
You won’t be able to find the M79 easily in the field, but in case you do, be prepared to literally blow your enemies away. Its damage is unsurprisingly very high, and using it is a piece of cake.
If you’re the only person left in your squad and you’re up against teams of 2 or more people, the M79 can be an absolute godsend. If you can use it well you’ll be able to take multiple people down with a single shot.
The AWM is the best Sniper Rifle in the game. So much so, that simply its name is enough to instill fear in your enemies. Finding it is not an easy task at all, but if you can manage to get your hands on it you should definitely use it because it has incredibly high damage output.
It can feel slow but a single shot of this gun can be enough to take your enemy down. So work on your aim and you’ll be killing left and right with the AWM in no time.
Yes, you heard it right with the help of emulators you can play Free Fire on PC. While the game is made to play on mobile many people don’t like the controls offered by the game. This is true even if you are using a mobile controller as many players find it more comfortable to use keyboard and mouse.
The emulator we would recommend is called ‘Bluestacks’ and it is quite popular in gaming community. You can also download other emulators such as LDPlayer, MeMu, KoPlayer, and Nox.
Step 1: First thing you have to do is download and install the emulator from this link
Step 2: Now that the emulator is installed, open it and follow the instructions to log in to the Google Play Store.
Step 3: Search for Free Fire and download it
Step 4: Run the game and log in as a guest or via your Google, Apple, or Facebook account.
Step 5: Adjust quality settings according to your PC hardware and now you are all good to go.
Note: The emulator may take a while to download even with fast internet connections.
After the ban of 118 Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile, many are left wondering about the possibility of games like Free Fire also being banned by the government. Players have been looking towards alternative games such as COD Mobile, Free Fire, Fortnite, and many more to fill up that void left by PUBG. One of the major outliers here is definitely Free Fire.
There have been many reports of the game being considered for a ban and having connections to China. While in reality, it is highly unlikely for Free Fire to get banned in India.
WHO ARE THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE GAME
The game is developed by a Vietnamese app development company called 111dots Studio and it is published worldwide by a Singapore-based organization called Garena. The current CEO of Garena Free Fire is Forrest Li who was born in China, however, he is currently a permanent citizen of Singapore.
However, it seems Tencent is one of the major stakeholders of Garena’s parent company is Sea Limited, which has its headquarters in Singapore. Previously, the Chinese conglomerate had a 39.7% share in Free Fire’s parent company while now it only has a 25.6% share in Sea Limited.
CAN FREE FIRE GET BANNED
The main reason for the government to ban an app is if its a Chinese origin app which is in suspicion of leaking user data to the Chinese government. In Free Fire’s case, one of its major stakeholders is a Chinese company such as Tencent who has seen many of its apps being banned.
Despite that, the actual development and publishing of the game are handled by 111dots Studio and Garena respectively both of which are not associated with the Chinese government.
Free Fire has teamed up with the famous Bollywood actor for their “Be The Hero” event in which players can get a chance to unlock Hrithik Roshan as a playable character. Through this event, the developers are looking forward to bring together two extremely popular industries in the country (Gaming and Film).
Players can get the in-game character named ‘Jai’ right now by completing missions in the game. They can even get additional rewards just for logging in.
HOW TO UNLOCK ‘JAI’
To unlock the Hrithik Roshan’s in-game character ‘Jai’ players would need to obtain all 16 pieces of the jigsaw puzzle. This is all part of the “Be The Hero” event and pieces of the puzzle can be earned by the following methods.
Players will get one puzzle piece just for checking in to the event from 10th to 13th September.
Players will also get four additional puzzle pieces for checking in to the event on the 13th of September.
Players can also help other Free Fire users by clicking on their unique event link. This can be done up to 3 times a day. Players have to be above level 10 to be able to help others.
Players will be able to purchase pieces from 13th September to complete the entire puzzle.
Players can also claim Jai’s exclusive costume bundle by collecting 30 golden magazine tokens through daily missions between 5th to 15th September. Players can also log in on 13th September to win five additional golden magazine tokens and a permanent gun skin — the AK47: Justice Fighter.
The new character named ‘Jai’ is a SWAT agent who is trained to operate in high-risk situations that belong to New Delhi, India.
His special ability is called Raging Reload; once an opponent is taken down, the gun’s magazine automatically gets reloaded by up to 25% of its capacity for ARs, SMGs, and pistols. This will prove to be quite a useful ability in firefights which can turn the tide of a battle very easily.
After the ban on PUBG Mobile, players are trying to find a game to fill up the void left by the it. They are now looking towards alternative games such as COD Mobile, Free Fire, Fortnite, and many more. The clear outlier here is definitely COD Mobile and Free Fire but which one is for you.
This is where both games are highly different as Free fire has a BR mode for 50 players whereas COD Mobile BR mode consists of 100 players. This results in highly different match dynamics as Free Fire offers instant matches lasting 10-15 minutes where player can get into the action straight away.
There’s also the matter of the no of maps available in the game. COD Mobile offers just a single battle royale map whereas Free Fire has three such maps like Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari.
In terms of game modes COD Mobile has the upper hand as it offers a wide variety of game modes such as Front Line, Domination, Sniper Only, and Search and Destroy. There’s also a campaign mode which is coming in future along with a zombie mode which isn’t currently available but is expected to make its way to the game soon.
Free Fire on the other hand is mostly focused around Battle Royale although it does have Clash squad and Ranked mode. If you get bored of playing BR there’s not much option for you here whereas in COD Mobile there’s a game mode for everyone.
Both Free Fire and Call of Duty Mobile give you options to choose from different characters, but even within these there are quite a few differences.
Call of Duty Mobile has characters only in the Battle Royale mode. Each character has its own role, like the medic, scout, and the defender. These classes are available to everyone, and you can play using any class, depending on what play style you prefer.
Free Fire is a little different in this, the first major difference being that you start off with 2 free characters, and you can continue to unlock more by simply playing the game. Most of the remaining characters you’ll be able to buy using the in-game currency you earn by playing matches. The only issue is that there are a few characters that you can purchase only with diamonds, and for these diamonds, you have to spend real-life money, there’s no other way.
It is quite obvious that COD Mobile has better graphics than Free Fire but it also means that the game requires you to have a decent phone to run it. One can even say that COD Mobile graphics are on the same level as a PC game which certainly adds to the experience and gives better immersion.
COD Mobile due to its resource intensive requirements needs a good quality phone to run it properly. Free Fire on the other hand can be played on nearly any smartphone due to its low requirements and hardly ever show signs of lagging and FPS drop.
Free Fire has recently announced their plans for releasing a new character ‘Jai’ based on the famous Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. Free Fire has over 31 characters, out of which many have been inspired from real life personalities but this is the first time an actor as famous as Hrithik has joined the game’s roster.
The actor has previously played characters with the same name as ‘Jai’ in movies such as Bang Bang and Kites which were not only famous domestically but internationally too.
Previously, there were leaks that suggested the character will be coming with the Free Fire OB23 update but that turned out to be not true as the update featured Hayato and Luqueta.
This reveal is all part of Free Fire’s ‘Be The Hero’ campaign and according to the company the developers are looking forward to bring together two extremely popular industries in the country (Gaming and Film).
Ability and Backstory
According to previous leaks the new character ‘Jai’ is supposedly a SWAT agent trained to operate in high risk situations who belongs to New Delhi, India.
He also has an ability called ‘Furious Reload’ which allows players to reload their weapons immediately. This will prove to be a very useful ability in firefights and can turn the tide very easily.

We’ve already covered the best settings for Controls and Sensitivity for both PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile, but we’re yet to talk about it for Free Fire. Garena Free Fire has a lot of settings and options to play around with before you even get into a match, and if you’re stuck wondering what are the best settings to go with, don’t worry. This guide will provide you a good walkthrough of the Sensitivity and Controls settings menu, all its different options and what do to with them. So without further ado, let’s dive into it.
Now, let’s talk about the sensitivity settings. Here, we have no problem recommending the default settings as we find that they’re pretty good as such. There are no issues while aiming. In case you feel that the camera movement is a bit too slow or too fast, you should test it out and adjust the settings according to what you find comfortable.
Coming to the Controls settings. Here also you’ll see a lot of options, but we’ll tell you which ones are the most important for you to set in the beginning.
First things first, keep the Aim Precision setting on default because it’ll make it much easier for you to aim. The Precise on Scope option will help you when you’re aiming without a scope but when you use a scope there won’t be any aim assist. Full Control means you won’t get any aim assist at all at any point.
Most people keep the Aim Precision on default in this game because it makes aiming a lot easier and you can get a lot more headshots.
Next, keep the In-Game tips on Simplified. This will keep the warnings and countdowns on the side instead of the middle of the screen, meaning you won’t have to worry about distractions and you’ll be able to focus on the game and killing your enemies.
The final setting here is the Auto Parachute. It’s better it keep it on as you won’t have to worry about deploying your parachute as you head down at full speed after jumping off from the plane. You’ll be able to land faster and get your hands on some good loot.
And this was our guide for the best Sensitivity and Control settings for Garena Free Fire. Let us know what you think in the comments and do share your feedback about the guide and the game as well. And don’t forget to check regularly for more Free Fire guides as we’re regularly updating our website with more tips and tricks for all your favorite games like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, COD Mobile, Clash Royale and more.

Garena Free Fire is a battle royale game that’s taking the country over by a storm. In fact, some people even prefer it over PUBG Mobile, the game that made battle royale so immensely popular. There are some differences between the two games, but the fundamentals are pretty much the same: Land amongst a horde of other players on an island, loot weapons, and gear, survive till the end and be the last man standing.
If you’re just getting into Free Fire, it might be a little overwhelming at first, figuring out all the different mechanics. That’s why we’ve made this handy guide with all the tips and tricks you’d need to know as a beginner to start winning some games.
Staying in Cover is Important
Now, this seems like an obvious one but people tend to forget this. If you’re new, you’ll most probably be playing in Bronze where most of your enemies are AI so you will get pretty confident as you rake up the wins and kills but it will also spoil your game sense a bit as you start to face off against better human players.
Always try to be near cover, especially when engaging an enemy as this will give you some breathing room and a place to retreat to in case you are surprised by their presence. If there’s nothing nearby, trees and bushes are your friends, otherwise, try to stick with a bigger and better cover like buildings.
Pick a Safe Drop Point
If you’re trying to be defensive and survive the early game without getting into too many fights, try landing far away from the path of the plane. Going to locations that fall close to the plane’s path may lead you to hot zones as a lot of other players do the same. Landing far will increase your chances of survival and also make sure you’re able to get some loot in peace.
When playing aggressively, feel free to land in areas that are in the plane’s flight path. This will help you learn how to be quick on your feet, trying to get loot as fast as you can and get you into action early on in the game.
Shoot To Kill
Shoot only and only when you’re sure you can secure the kill. Try to take advantage of enemies who are already engaged in a fight and kill them. Another thing you can try is to wait for the enemy to kill whoever they’re fighting, then just as they’re coming out or trying to heal, ambush them and get a kill for yourself.
The Mini Map is Your Best Friend
Map awareness is something that will always come in handy. The mini-map at the top shows the directions for enemy footsteps and firing, so keep an eye on the map as you play because that will give you a huge advantage.
Learn to play with different weapons
You need a versatile loadout that can help you come out on top, no matter how badly you may get stuck. For this, make sure you acquaint yourself with versatile weapons like assault rifles which can benefit from a variety of attachments as you’ll be relying on them a lot.
While a scoped weapon is great for ranged combat and to take out enemies without being spotted, when it comes to close quarters it can be your downfall. If you decide to Aim Down Sight(ADS) with a scoped weapon, your scope will magnify the view and make it hard for you to shoot an enemy who might be close to you and moving. Having an unscoped weapon can help alleviate this issue.
With the help of these tips and tricks, you should be able to bag a few easy wins in the beginning, helping you get used to the game and push your rank. The more you play, you can start experimenting and develop your own play style.
Garena Free Fire has a lot of guns to choose from, and it can be a daunting task to figure out which one is right for you. That’s why we’ve prepared this handy guide that will take you through the best weapons available in the game and help you choose the perfect one for you based on your preferred play style.
We’ll start off with the decent ones and build up to which ones we think are the absolute best. You will find guns from all the categories here and pick any of them, because ultimately the best weapon for you will be one that you feel the most comfortable using.
Let’s start off with the MP40. This is hands down the best SMG in Free Fire which is perfect for close-range combat. Thanks to its high rate of fire, it can easily shred through any number of enemies should they dare to come close to you. It’s damage output is pretty good too. It’s very useful for all kinds of players and keeping it in your primary slot will make sure you don’t have to worry about close-range combat.
If you like using Shotguns, then the M1014 is the best shotgun you’ll find in Free Fire. It is absolutely lethal at close range. With its high damage and decent rate of fire it can make quick work of your enemies without running a sweat. And, it’s pretty easy to find in the battlefield, so even if you don’t normally use shotguns but can’t get your hands on an MP40, the M1014 will make a solid substitute for you.
The M60 rifle has extremely high damage output. It is a great rifle which you can spray and take down enemies easily because it has low recoil. It’s rate of fire is pretty good too, and that combination makes it a solid option for players who like to spray.
The AK47 is an assault rifle that needs no introduction at all. This is the favourite weapon of a lot of people because of its high damage. But one issue with this gun is its high recoil, so the best way to use it is with Level 3 attachments. Thanks to the recoild, you have a higher chance of taking headshots using the AK47 which is another reason why people love this gun.
The SCAR is also a great assault rifle with a high rate of fire. This can deal a lot of damage to your enemies but even this is best used with Level 3 attachments. However, using this is a little easier than the AK47, so you might be able to net kills more easily with the SCAR.
FAMAS is another solid assault rifle whose damage is a little higher than the SCAR. Its rate of fire is pretty good too so if you can find this, we recommend it over the SCAR any day.
The M4A1 is the most well-balanced assault rifle you can find in Free Fire. It can be used very effectively even without any attachments, thanks to its high damage, high rate of fire and low recoil. This would be the go-to assault rifle for beginners or people who don’t want to get too much into weapon statistics and just want to have fun running and gunning with their friends.
The Groza is hands down the best assault rifle you’ll find in Free Fire. The sad part is, that you can only find it in air drops, but it if you, go with it because it’s better than all the other assault rifles. It has a high rate of fire, high damage and very low recoil. So if you can get to an airdrop and loot it, by all means do it because it will be worth it.
The last weapon on our list the M79 grenade launcher. You won’t be able to find this easily in the field, but in case you do, be prepared to literally blow your enemies away. Its damage is unsurprisingly very high, and using it is a piece of cake. If you’re the only person left in your squad and you’re up against teams of 2 or more people, the M79 can be an absolute godsend, because it you can use it well you’ll be able to take multiple people down with a single shot.
These were our picks for the best weapons available in Garena Free Fire. Stay tuned for more weapons guides and other tips and tricks for all your favourite games, and let us know your favourite guns from Free Fire in the comments.
