PUBG Mobile’s new 0.17 update is on the way and it’s bringing a lot of new changes and elements to everyone’s favourite battle royale, including the highly anticipated Erangel 2.0 map. Let’s check out what all is going to be new in the update, shall we?
Erangel 2.0 (Including Graphics Upgrade)
The biggest addition to PUBG Mobile in the new update is the highly anticipated Erangel 2.0. Similar to PUBG PC, everyone’s favourite Erangel map will be updated in the mobile version as well.
The Erangel update will bring a lot of changes to the map, first of which is the graphics, making it look even better. So if you’re playing on the lowest settings and still seeing an FPS drop in the game, this might be a good time to invest in a new phone. Because when the new update drops, there’s a good chance that your FPS may see a bigger drop because it will make the graphics a little heavier than before.
Apart from that, you can also expect changes to the locations on the map, like the structures and buildings. Especially Pochinki and Georgopool, where you’ll notice a lot of changes, as right now we know that the map will feature the same changes as the PUBG PC version of Erangel 2.0. The only cause for concern is that the better graphics will use more power, resulting in a drop in performance and draining the battery.
The next new feature being added to the game in this update is the Death Cam. This is something fans had been asking for a long time and it looks like the developers have finally answered their prayers, almost 2 years after the game’s initial release.
Now after you die on the field, you’ll be able to see who killed you and how they did it, and whether they were legit or making use of hacks. This will be very helpful for people who want to study their and their opponents’ moves and figure out what mistakes they made, helping them improve their game in the long run.
What remains to be confirmed is whether this feature will be supported on all the phones because rumours suggest that the death cam will only be there on high-end devices. But hopefully that won’t be the case and you’ll be able to use it on any phone and every player will be able to take advantage of it.
Winter Mode (Survival Mechanics)
PUBG Mobile update 0.17 will also add a new mode, called the Winter Mode. This will be a completely different kind of addition as it will introduce survival mechanics to the game. Players will need to keep themselves warm using campfires, hunt and kill animals in order to feed themselves and stay alive. This will make the battle royale combat even more interesting as players will have to worry about their status conditions as well, in addition to being killed by their enemies.
This new mode might seem a little odd at first, but a battle royale game like PUBG Mobile is a survival game at its core and the Winter Mode is just adding additional survival mechanics to the game.
Tactical Map Marker
Like the Ping system we’ve seen in Apex Legends, and now PUBG PC as well, the same system will also be added to PUBG Mobile in the new update. Now you’ll be able to mark clearly on your screen and point your teammates to nearby health and ammo pickups as the relevant information will show up on the screen automatically when you try to mark something at a distance.
Apart from the new additions mentioned above, the update will ass a new Double Barrel Shotgun that you will be able to get through airdrops. And now you can use the Red Dot Sight and Holo Scope on the Uzi SMG, making it a lot more useful and fun to play with at the same time.
So these are some of the major additions and changes you can expect to see in the upcoming PUBG Mobile 0.17 update. Stay tuned for more news about all your favourite games and check back regularly for guides and tips and tricks to help you improve your gameplay.

The rear features a lock-and-slide sled mechanism that opens with minimal effort, allowing for quick access to internal components without the need for tools.
The Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop will feature up to an Intel® Core-i9 processor, 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and NVIDIA™ GeForce RTX™ 2080 Super graphics. Both the RAM and SSD modules on the NUC card will be upgradeable as well as the fans, GPU and NUC itself, to satisfy the needs of the most demanding gamers, streamers, and content creators alike.
The Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop will be available in the first half of 2020. The Tomahawk N1 case will be available as a standalone product for hardware-savvy PC enthusiasts looking to build their own compact yet powerful gaming PCs.

Featuring the latest 10th Gen Intel® Core™ H-Series Processors to meet those expectations, they will pack up to 300Hz refresh rate panels, powerful graphics processors, and optimized designs to stay ahead of the game.
TAKING POLE POSITION IN NEW ERACING ESPORTS CATEGORY
For the Razer Eracing Simulator concept, Razer brought together some of the leading companies in sim racing to deliver the most immersive racing experience to date, offering a preview and demo of the future of competitive eracing. Running Project CARS Pro, the concept model features technology from Vesaro, Simpit, Fanatec and Synthesis VR, creating a thrilling and immersive eracing setup with a 202-degree projection system, a hydraulic racing platform, full manual controls, and a steering wheel with paddle shift.
The simulator chassis is built with an ultra-strong hand-crafted center core designed around an advanced modular upgrade system, allowing for many simulation scenarios. The center core sits on a motion platform powered by two actuators and a gaming control box for a professional racing training setup that maps terrain surfaces, G-force and sounds into motion for a completely immersive experience. Real surround visuals provided by Simpit come from two Full-HD projectors beaming onto a 128-inch custom black projection surface with 202-degree field-of-view with vibrant colors and deep blacks.
Driver controls from Fanatec feature an anodized aluminum and carbon fiber steering wheel sheathed in smooth leather, magnetic paddles and adjustable buttons for gear shifting and precise driver aide, paired to a three-pedal system below. The racing harness simulates the effects of G-forces by applying pressure, allowing the body to feel the fast acceleration speeds and tightest corners.
“The competitive eracing scene is an untapped but growing sector of esports for which Razer has brought a new innovation, making the games more enjoyable, more immersive and more exciting for fans,” said David Tse, Global Esports Director at Razer. “We are ready to invest resources into growing this area of competition.”
“We are very excited to be working alongside Razer as they enter the racing esports space at CES 2020; combining one of our professional grade systems with Razer’s racing sim effort, we can’t wait to see how this will push virtual racing further into the mainstream spotlight and take the sport to the next level,” said Nevil Slade, CEO & Designer for Vesaro.
Razer will continue to develop and build the ultimate eracing simulator, rallying together the best hardware and software technology companies in the industry. Razer will also invest in eracing competitions and leagues in the near future. Parties interested in collaborating on the development of the simulator can contact [email protected].

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the ROG Swift 360Hz, the world’s fastest and first NVIDIA G-SYNC® gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate, and the ROG Swift PG32UQX with G-SYNC ULTIMATE technology, a 32-inch gaming display engineered with mini-LED technology to deliver stunning 4K HDR visuals.
Unparalleled speed for an extra edge with the ROG Swift 360Hz G-SYNC Esports monitor
Compared to widely available 240Hz gaming monitors, the ROG Swift 360Hz can put out a whopping 50 percent more frames every second – supplying esports and competitive gamers with the edge they need to win. With a comfortable 24.5-inch display size and Full HD resolution, the ROG Swift 360Hz features the same unmistakable design that graces the lineup of highest-end ROG gaming monitors.
Mini-LED Drives Performance and Visuals in the 32-inch ROG Swift PG32UQX G-SYNC Ultimate monitor
The ROG Swift PG32UQX is the ultimate 4K high-dynamic-range (HDR) gaming monitor. Featuring an advanced G-SYNC ULTIMATE processor with the latest HDR features, the 16:9 display is illuminated by a full-array local dimming backlight with 1152 Mini LED zones that let the PG32UQX display the brightest highlights and darkest blacks of a scene with incredible contrast and minimal haloing. Small highlights in games, like light bulbs or the disc of the sun, can reach peak brightness of up to 1400 nits, offering a more lifelike HDR experience than ever before. The Mini-LED backlight can also turn off as needed when it comes to darker scenes.
The G-SYNC processor drives variable refresh rates up to 144Hz, and support for 10-bit color throughout the refresh rate range ensures that the PG32UQX always shows off games, movies, and desktop applications at their best. With NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, users will enjoy smooth, tear-free gameplay, even when frame rates fall below the PG32UQX’s peak 144Hz refresh rate, and with the incredibly capable panel and backlight inside, the PG32UQX is NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE-certified. All G-SYNC ULTIMATE-certified displays undergo a rigorous validation process and are subjected to 300 image quality tests to ensure they deliver consistent quality and maximum performance.
The PG32UQX is also designed to be a productive companion outside of games, offering DisplayHDR 1400 compliance for other entertainment needs. For those who want to use all of the screen size available from a 4K resolution, the 32-inch diagonal expanse of the PG32UQX offers a pixel density better suited to running a Windows desktop without scaling.
The ROG Swift PG32UQX doesn’t hold back in style, designed with multiple textures on the back of the display, separated by a subtle diagonal chrome strip. An Aura Sync-enabled RGB LED ROG logo lets users coordinate the PG32UQX with other Aura Sync-enabled components for a fully harmonized battlestation. And a logo projector in the base of the ROG trademark twisted stand lets users show off the Republic of Gamers logo or display a customized logo using the included blank discs.
