Nvidia GeForce GTX 2080 Ti Benchmarks Leaked

There has been no official statement from Nvidia stating that they’re about to release a new line of GPUs soon and the CEO Jen-Hsun Huang also stated that they wouldn’t be launching new GPUs “For a long time”. However, with Lenovo talking about Nvidia’s 11xx series and now a leak of a GTX 2080 Ti’s benchmark score, we can only imagine that they’re right around the corner.

This new leak comes in the form of a GPU Benchmark score from the Ashes of the Singularity Benchmark database. The benchmark was posted by a user named “Nagato” who barely has any hours in the game which leads us to believe that their sole purpose is to benchmark hardware using that game. Along with the GTX 2080 Ti, the system has a 7700k which is quite a strong CPU. If you look closely at the name of the GPU though, you’ll notice that it says “special supply for GSS”. GSS is the abbreviation of GRUS Spatial Solver which is a novel sparse direct solver that runs CPU/GPU compute simultaneously as reported by wccftech .

Onto the benchmarks now. From what we can see there isn’t anything exciting or crazy about this GPU since the scores are on par with the GTX 1070 and the GXT 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti. But the scores can help us figure out why that’s the case. On the DX11 API, the performance on Low Settings(1080p) and Crazy(1080p) is almost identical. Even with the Vulkan API, there isn’t much of a difference. This can be attributed to the fact that driver optimization is in its early stages so hopefully with time we will see its true power. Or this could all be a big fake. Only time will tell us how good the next line of GPUs will be from Nvidia until then, stay tuned for more news related to the new GPUs from Nvidia.

Overwatch’s Pink Mercy Skin Helps Break Breast Cancer Donation Record

Back in the month of May Blizzard had announced a new skin for their character from Overwatch which they call the “Pink Mercy” skin. While almost all skins in-game come from loot boxes or by using in-game money to purchase it, this skin was a direct purchase for $14.99. The good thing about this was that 100% of the funds from the purchase would go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In their news post, Blizzard states that they raised more than $12.7 Million (USD) just from skin purchases and T-shirt purchases.

In addition to that, another $130,000 USD was raised through donations on Twitch. Blizzard goes on to state that this was the largest donation by a corporate partner within one year in BCRF’s 25-year history. It’s always good to see gamers and the gaming community coming together for a good cause and it’s also good to see that it isn’t going to a shady organisation. Thanks to all the people who supported this cause as this could help find a cure for Breast Cancer and maybe, this could be the start of something positive where-in more companies could do similar things to help other causes as well.

Fortnite Android Release Date Teased to be July 24

With PUBG so dominant in the mobile gaming market right now, many people have been wondering when the Fortnite would make its way to Android. We finally have some news but it comes from the most unlikely of sources.

Tencent Mobile is the distributor and developer of PUBG Mobile and their tweet has a Tencent WeGame logo on it which is going to be a store like community platform akin to Steam. The tweet teases us with a calendar that shows the date as 24th July and the text reads “It’s coming”. If Tencent is truly the distributor of this and even the developers for it, they are likely to become one of the biggest names in Mobile Gaming with two of the most popular games under their belt.

PUBG Mobile Beta Out Now, Includes Unreleased Features

The ever-popular PUBG Mobile now has a beta version specifically available for Android users. While it is a bit unstable and might have bugs in it, it also includes a few new features which may or may not be part of the upcoming version 0.7.0. The beta version which is available here has sadly reached its maximum number of users for now but it does say that space could open up for more users. Fret not though, even if you don’t get to play it we can still help you get hyped up for the official release with information pertaining to what is in this beta.

This beta features a faster version of Arcade mode known as Arcade Mode-War. There’s also a new feature called the “Portable Closet” that lets players change clothes during the match, however, doing so does NOT pause your game. Another in-game feature is the inclusion of a new weapon- the SLR Sniper Rifle. Besides this, there’s a new overhauled main menu design that makes it more accessible and user-friendly. This beta version, however, does not track your progress since you cannot sign-in so keep that in mind if you get into the Beta. Thanks to Android Wear for their report.
