Persona 5 Royal Has New Director And Producer

Persona 5 Royal is directed by Daiki Itoh and produced by Kazuhisa Wada, a preview for a feature in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

Daiki Itoh was the lead confidant planner on Persona 5, as well as the project director of Persona 4 Golden.

Kazuhisa Wada, on the other hand, had no involvement in the original Persona 5, but was a chief designer on Persona 4 Golden and director on Persona 4 ArenaPersona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Katsura Hashino, the director and producer of the original Persona 5, is currently working as director and producer on the upcoming Project Re Fantasy from Atlus development team Studio Zero.

Persona 5 Royal is due out for PlayStation 4 on October 31 in Japan, and in 2020 in the west. Read more about the game here.
