If you are someone who made their online accounts for gaming platforms chances are you’re stuck with a name that you’re a little bit embarrassed by. While it isn’t an issue on most platforms, consoles are a bit more stringent when it comes to changing your online moniker.
Xbox got the option to change your Gamertag a couple of years back for free the first you did at and after that, it will cost you $10 while PlayStation users never really had that option but that might soon change. According to a report from Kotaku they’ve had a few people from different game studios tell them that they’re working on fixing bugs and tweaking settings to ensure that their games are compatible with Sony’s name changing plans.
The developers suggest that since PSN usernames link the account ID to your username rather than a Universal Unique Identifier, retroactively fixing old multiplayer games will be difficult. A person working for a game studio shared an image from internal Sony documentation that showed the option “Edit Username” for a PlayStation Network profile and was taken from what will be the guide for changing your username. Hopefully, it works like Steam’s username option which can be changed to anything at anytime.
Hideo Kojima is one of the most cryptic people in the games industry. Due to this, anything he does on Social Media or in general leads people to believe that he’s teasing something about his upcoming game and this is the case with a trailer that he recently shared.
Hideo Kojima shared a trailer for a game called RUSSIA 2055 on his twitter which is being developed by a studio named Invictus Volition. If you’re having a hard time figuring out which studio this is, don’t worry. According to the Unreal Engine forum post, this is actually just one guy who has been developing the game for the past few months. This person also seems to be taking feedback from the community. What’s interesting is that this account was made in 2015 but joined Twitter a month back, probably to showcase the game.
Here’s the description for RUSSIA 2055 which seems to be a game very similar to Titanfall but a bit more darker, more Metal Gear like:
“In year 2055 US Forces and Russian Military conflict halts as they defend earth from the first alien invasion that first started in Russia. Russia 2055 Is a futuristic military First Person Shooter game. With a Multiplayer of up to 64 Players. Multiplayer consists of Mech vs Mech, Russian vs Us Military, Alien vs US/RU”
There’s plenty of games out there so why did Hideo choose to share this? Is this some sort of prequel/ backstory for Death Stranding? Did Hideo just enjoy the brief little trailer and the storyline for the game? Is Invictus Volition just someone who is part of the dev team? Hideo has made up a fictional studio named Moby Dick Studious in the past and hired an actor to interview with Geoff Keighley, a video game journalist who was part of G4tv.
Invictus is famous a poem by William Ernest Henly and the word in Latin means “unconquerable” or “undefeated”. The poem is about courage in the face of death and holding on to one’s own dignity despite the indignities life places before us. It focuses strongly on the fact that our destiny is in our own hands. Volition is the power of one’s will or the ability of someone to make their decision on their own. So there’s a lot of emphasis on decision making which could be one of the key parts of Death Stranding.
In one of the first trailers for Death Stranding, Kojima quoted the poem ‘Auguries of Innocence’ by William Blake which is a poem that focuses on Spirituality, God and life after death. The specific lines quoted talks about how even the smallest of things can be monumental for some. In terms of Death Stranding though, we’ve seen a lot of Sand and Dirt in the trailers and we know that there might be some sort of weird time mechanic as we watch plants blossom and die in the E3 2018 trailer. Let’s also not forget that the main character seems to carry around a baby which could be a way of transporting his soul to a new body hence the life after death part.
I feel Kojima might be hinting towards the inspiration for the game and also the themes that the game will deal with. Only time will tell if this tweet was a red herring or if it was a subtle hint towards something bigger but until then, thanks for making everyone put their detective hats on Mr. Kojima.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out now and is an extremely fun game. However since it is an RPG game like Origins, there might be times when you may be under-leveled for the mission at hand or maybe you’re someone who just likes to over-level their character and then play. Want to know the best way to level up? Here are a few ways to help you:
Fight at the Arena
The Arena opens up after you finish the side-quest “They Just Want Cruelty” which you get after killing your first mercenary. The Arena itself is at the South-East corner of the map in Pephka. Pephka itself is a level 26 area so go there with caution and as soon as you feel you can go there without getting destroyed. Once there, the Arena is a great place to 1v1 Mercenaries who slowly show up and not only give you XP for killing them also Bonus XP for fighting at the Arena. There’s also Arena Champions who can give you a huge amount of XP and can be fought multiple times to get half of the initial XP that you get from them.
Conquering Forts can be quite a difficult task but once you do them, it opens up the Conquest Battle for the location which will give you really good XP. So make sure to do that. While you’re conquering forts, try to chain stealth kills or go for headshots and overpowered kills to increase the amount of XP you receive from killing guards.
Side Quests and Contracts
The good ol’ common sense tip. Side Quests are a great way to explore the map, meet new characters and also to gain some nice XP. While you’re on your side-quest tab, you can see how much XP it will net you by the colour of the XP reward. The colour system is the same as the loot system so Grey is low and Gold is very high with purple being in between. While you’re in a town make sure to pick up contracts from the Message Boards so that you can slowly complete them over time as you play through the game.
That’s some of the few great ways to gain XP in the game when you feel like you’ve hit a wall. Although we do feel that if you keep doing side-quests along with the main mission and take your time to explore the gorgeous and magnificent world, you shouldn’t have problems levelling up.
While Fortnite might be one of the most popular and trending games right now, it still isn’t the biggest game in the world. There’s a game that still beats it, a game that has been around for ages now, a game that also had a Battle Royale mode. That game is Minecraft.
Fortnite draws in about 80 million players on a monthly basis which is quite huge. One of the reasons for this could be the addition of new content on a very quick basis. However, Minecraft still manages to pull in over 90 million active players every month. This is a game that is 9 years old at this point and is still going very strong. This can be attributed to the huge updates that get pushed every few months that add a ton of new blocks, mobs, and biomes to the game, giving players a new reason to come back and try things out.
The game also has a strong community that has their own servers with plugins that they use to tailor to a specific need or want. Not to mention, the plethora of amazing mods available to the game that make it an extremely fun game to play with your friends while also being a relaxed game. With texture mods, reshades etc Minecraft can look great and it has something for everybody which could be the reason for it being relevant, 9 years later.
Do you think Fortnite has what it takes to survive that long? Let us know down below.

Go into Dungeons with Star Children
Itsuki Yuge was summoned as the “God’s Gift” to save the magical world of Granvania on the verge of crisis. The only thing that can cleanse the energy known as “impurity” that covers the world is God’s Gift and the Star Children born between him and the 12 Star Maidens. In order to save the world, Itsuki and the Star Children must survive the Stardust Labyrinths and cleanse the world of its impurities.
The 12 Star Maidens
The Star Children that fight the impurities are born between the God’s Gift Itsuki and the 12 Star Maidens. The more your bonds deepen as you communicate with the Star Maidens, the greater the power your Star Children are born with, so be sure to communicate and get familiar with the Star Maidens. Also, as your bonds deepen, each Star Maiden’s hidden past and secrets may also come to light…
Busy Battles with 13 Party Members
In addition to the protagonist Itsuki, your party can consist of three teams of four Star Children for a total of 13 party members. The game uses a command selection-style battle system where positioning plays a key role. Gain the upper hand in battle by attacking from a position where you can target the enemy’s back or weak point.
Itsuki and the 12 Star Maidens can participate in a “Love Ceremony” in which they pour their souls into a “Matryoshka” to produce a Star Child. The Star Child’s power will vary depending on the strength of your bond with the Star Maiden and the type of Matryoshka used. Also, the Star Child’s stat trends will differ depending on the Star Maiden, so you should consider the class you need for your current party when choosing a partner for your Love Ceremony.

Thanks to the Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle version of the PlayStation 4 Pro, we know how huge the install size will be. And when I say huge, I really do mean it so prepare your consoles.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will have an install size of 105GB. That’s a lot of data. This will make it Rockstar’s biggest game at launch and we can only imagine how much the size will increase once updates start dropping. The reason for the size could be due to the texture data since the game looks phenomenal and is absolutely massive in scale while also featuring over 200 animal species, about which you can read here. Another interesting thing to note from the box is that PlayStation users will get some online content 30 days before Xbox users.
Red Dead Online will support 2-32 players which is on par with GTA Online. It is quite likely that this will also be Peer-to-Peer instead of having dedicated servers.
Rockstar Games is renowned for their sprawling open world games that are filled with beautiful sights, a lot of small details and a world that seems very alive. With Red Dead Redemption 2, they plan on bringing that to the great Wild West once more.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will have a strong focus on the single player experience due to which it will have a world that is rich in interactivity and content. With the massive scale of the Wild West, Rockstar aims to also emulate the animals that roamed the Wild West’s frontier and in an effort to do so have created more than 200 species of animals. According to Rockstar, each animal will respond to its environment in a distinct way. In Red Dead Redemption 1, hunting animals was a very important mechanic and it makes a return in the sequel as well.
There might just be a Pokedex like codex that fills up as you embark on a quest to hunt down all the different species in the game, ranging from birds to fowl to fish. It will be intriguing to see how Rockstar approaches the single-player experience as well as the Online aspect of the game. Fans are afraid that it might go the route of GTA V which lacked Single Player content post-launch so fans are hoping this isn’t the case with Red Dead Redemption 2.
