Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for what seems like a really long time now but we’re getting ever so close to whenever it’s release date will be. In what is a major milestone, the game is now completely playable from start to finish.
While it is entirely playable from start to finish, it is missing assets and hasn’t been playtested which means that there are going to be quite a lot of bugs in a game of this scale. However, as the producer of the game, Richard Borzymowski said, it is quite a critical step in the development process to see the everything come together. Alongside this wonderful news, Cyberpunk 2077’s Gamescom demo has a few good surprises.
While the E3 Demo lacked nighttime footage it was done on purpose. The devs wanted to push themselves to make a City that not only looked good and cyberpunk in the night time but one that felt the same even in the daytime. Now that they had proved their point, their Gamescom trailer ends with Night City being shown at night. We also saw a new weapon, a Katana that has its own EMF that can deflect bullets which is as cool as it sounds. Players can also pick their gender, appearance, and backstory from the beginning, which is somewhat like how it was in Mass Effect as players can also fill in details about their life lives and any life-changing events.
Cyberpunk 2077’s hype train has been speeding up ever since the E3 2018 trailer and we can’t wait to see what CDPR has in store for us next.
