NVIDIA recently released a patch for its GeForce drivers for GTX and RTX graphics cards which fixes a critical security vulnerability introduced in an earlier driver. This flaw allowed hackers to run code on the target machines, take control over them or even render them useless.
According to NVIDIA:
“The NVIDIA risk assessment is based on an average of risk across a diverse set of installed systems and may not represent the true risk of your local installation. NVIDIA recommends consulting a security or IT professional to evaluate the risk to your specific configuration.
