Rocket League Finally Gets Full Cross-Platform Play!

Rocket League has finally received full Cross-Platform play support which means that people on different consoles can play with and against each other.

Sony has finally given the green light on Cross-Platform play which means that players on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC can play together on all online game modes including ranked.

Cross-Platform party support is not fully in yet and will be coming very soon but until then, Psyonix has a for you to play with your friends on different consoles.

“Should you want to play with friends on other platforms before cross-platform parties release, however, you can! Just select Play from the Main Menu, then Private Match, followed by Create or Join Private Match, and you’re set from there.”

After Fortnite, Rocket League is the second title which has cross-platform play for every platform it is available on and with Sony already allowing this on Fortnite and Rocket League, Minecraft could be the next title to be given the green light.

Psyonix is aware of how big this milestone is and have let the fans know how important their role was in making this happen.

“Today’s announcement is an important one for us here at Psyonix, because we know how much our community has wanted full cross-platform support for quite some time. It’s because of you, our fans, and our generous partners on all systems and services that have made this possible in the first place. On behalf of the entire team, THANK YOU for your passion and persistence as we continue to do our best to make Rocket League the best experience we can.”

This could very well be how cross-platform for major titles slowly snowballs into it being a normal feature and not something that fans get after a lot of petitioning.
