Marvel’s Avengers A-Day Gameplay Trailer Showcases The Prologue

The Marvel’s Avengers was first showcased to the public at San Diego Comic-Con in July. While parts of the footage did leak to the public, we now have it in good quality and released by Square Enix themselves.

The gameplay footage goes through the entire prologue which starts at the stage that’s set up for the Avengers during Avengers Day. The celebrations are quickly cut short as there’s an explosion in the distance. The game opens up as you get to play as Thor followed by Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and finally as Black Widow who takes on Task Master.

As she beats Task Master, there is no time to celebrate as the heli-carrier that Captain America is on explodes and he seemingly dies in the explosion. We then get to look at what seems like present-day as the Avengers are now disliked by the public and have disbanded. There’s a statue of Captain America and a memorial for all the people that were lost on A-Day.

The game seems to have been polished since Comic-Con but we can’t really confirm that. It looks interesting but this was just the prologue and we don’t know how the main game will play yet. However, we’re cautiously optimistic about this game and maybe it will turn out to be good.

Marvel’s Avengers Gameplay Demo: Describing the Footage which Releases between 26th and 30th August

The Marvel’s Avengers game that was shown at E3 2019 had its first gameplay reveal today at San Diego Comic Con. This gameplay demo showcased the prologue of the game.

UPDATE: The Footage from the SDCC Panel got Leaked and can be watched below

According to Creative Director Shaun Escayg, this gameplay demo will be released to the public a week after Gamescom 2019. Gamescom this year takes place on 20-24th August so we can expect this gameplay to come between 26-30th August.

This new gameplay demo that was showcased starts during A-Day and features Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, and Thor. After Golden Gate bridge gets attacked Iron Man Thir fly in. Thor uses the Mjolnir to attack enemies on the ground and in air. He also uses it to pin enemies against walls. Then Iron Man shows up and flies around while using his tech to fight against enemies. Captain America investigates the helicarrier and uses his shield to attack enemies as well as defend himself from attacks.

Banner, on the other hand, jumps out of the Quinjet and transforms into Hulk as he lands. He can literally use other enemies as weapons by picking them up. and it’s so freaking cool. He breaks and throws tanks around while also saving a vehicle from falling. Meanwhile, Black Widow takes on Task Master and fights him by using a cloaking device.

The demo ends with the helicarrier crashing, Captain America dying and the world not trusting the Avengers anymore as they disband and live in guilt.

All the heroes have special abilities called “Heroic” abilities that they use in the demo. These are unique to each character. Captain America’s Heroic bounces the shield off of multiple enemies and slams it to the ground, Tony Stark’s is a Unibeam Blast, Thor’s is a Hammer Wind Blast, Black Widows is her cloaker and as for Hulk, we ‘re not too sure.

You will also be able to customize your favourite heroes to wear their iconic outfits to make them look like YOUR HEROES. The game’s E3 trailer was a bit shaky so we hope this new gameplay demo trailer can help generate some hype for this game.
