PUBG Update 4.2 Brings in Dynamic Weather to Erangel

PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds Season 4 brought in the new Erangel and a lot of changes but that’s not all as the Update 4.2 adds a much-requested feature, Dynamic Weather, among other things.

Dynamic Weather added to Erangel

  • ‘Overcast’ weather has been added to Erangel.
  • When a match starts with overcast weather on Erangel, the weather will change dynamically over the course of the match between overcast, windy, hail, light rain, heavy rain (rain with lightning and thunder), and fog.

Destructible Objects on Erangel

  • Additional destructible pylons and barricades have been added to Erangel. They can be destroyed by vehicles, weapons and explosions, but do provide a limited amount of cover until they are destroyed.
  • Some existing objects which were previously indestructible are now destructible, such as the traffic cones in Mylta.

Vehicle Handling Improvements

  • Improved vehicle handling of the Scooter, Snowmobile, Snowbike and Motorcycle with Sidecar, thus improving overall driving stability.
  • Motorcycle with Sidecar off-road driving control and stability has been greatly improved.

Vehicle Engine Toggle

  • Vehicle engines can now be turned off/on by pressing ‘Z’.
  • The engine can be turned off while driving, after gaining momentum and can be used for quiet, tactical maneuvers.
  • Once the engine is off, pressing ‘W’ to accelerate or ‘Z’ will start the engine again.
  • Vehicle engines will automatically be turned off if the vehicle stays at a standstill for 8 seconds, or 2 seconds after the driver disembarks.

Sound QoL Improvements

  • Added master volume preview
  • The master volume can now be previewed while in the menu, to better allow users to set their preferred maximum volume level.
  • This can be founder under Settings – Audio – Sound – Master volume and by clicking on the ‘play’ button.
  • Added Instant Volume Reducer.
  • This new feature temporary decreases the volume of games sound effects to facilitate more clear communication with teammates.
  • Use ‘F7’ to reduce game master volume, while maintaining the volume of voice chat.
  • Use ‘F7’ key again to return to the original volume.

PUBG PC Season 4 Gets an Interesting Story Trailer

PUBG PC’s Season 4 is officially set to launch on 24th July and to hype it up, PUBG has released a video that showcases some of the changes to the map in a very story-heavy way.

The trailer shows us a young man whose homeland seems to get invaded by outside forces. After its all done, he’s the lone survivor. Turns out, the island he’s on is Erangel and he’s the guy behind the whole Battlegrounds.

From what we’ve gathered he seems to be doing this to find people who can rise above the occasion and survive, just like he did as a child. This is the first time we’ve seen something so heavy on story in PUBG.

Earlier last month, we learned that a singleplayer story game is being made in the PUBG universe and this trailer might help build the lore of the world. It’s very interesting because we haven’t seen anything like in the past.

PUBG Lite Beta Starts Today in India

PUBG Lite is finally available for Indian players today. The invites for the Beta of the game will start rolling out soon which will allow you to get a chance to play the game before the official launch.

PUBG Lite is a lower-end version of the famous PlayerUnknown’s Battleground for PC. Unlike PUBG Mobile, this game is a specced down version of the PC game and will act as a gateway to help people transition from PUBG Mobile to PUBG PC.

PUBG PC has quite a high system requirement but PUBG Lite fixes that issue with a much lower system requirement which means that it will run on even low-end potato PCs. The minimum specs are as follows:

Minimum Hardware Requirements
  • CPU: Intel Core i3 2.4GHz processor
  • Memory: 4GB of RAM
  • HDD: 4GB of storage
  • GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • OS: Windows 7, 8 and 10 64 Bit

PUBG Lite is also free which means if you want to check out the game you won’t have to spend money. You can get the same PUBG PC experience for free with worse graphics.

If you’ve wanted to try PUBG, this is a great way to do so or if you want to move away from PUBG Mobile, this should help up the difficulty as it has a higher skill ceiling.

PUBG’s Vikendi brings wintry chills to Xbox and PS

After almost a month of delay, Xbox and PlayStation players can finally enjoy PUBG’s new snow map, Vikendi. PUBG’s fourth map is 6x6km large which places it between the smaller Sanhok (2×2 km) and the larger maps namely, Miramar and Erangel (8×8 km). PUBG Corp. has rolled out a new update that brings Vikendi to consoles. The map has been available for PC and mobile players for over a month now.

The map is covered with snow and brings along the “Vikendi Survivor Pass.” The survivor pass offers players with various challenges which they can complete over the period of 10 weeks to earn cosmetic items in return. The snowmobile has also been added to the map as an exclusive vehicle. It reportedly performs better on snow but struggles on other terrains. Two new weapons, the Scorpion and the G36C have been added to the game. While scorpion can be found on all maps, the G36C is exclusive to the Vikendi.

Adding a cherry to the cake are several bug tweaks and performance optimizations. The parachute system has also been revamped.

PUBG Mobile Season 4 Coming on 21st November

PUBG Mobile’s Season 4 is coming to all players on 21st November. The new update version v.0.9.5 is already out for some users but by tomorrow, it should be available to everybody.

PUBG Mobile’s Season 4 is bringing in a host of new things to the game. One of the new additions is the Hardcore Mode which is for more competitive play. Footstep sounds and audio cues are removed from the game. Picking up ammo, weapons and opening doors and most of the things that were automatic before now have to be done manually in this mode. This mode will be available periodically during “Hardcore Week” and is currently available only for Erangel. This Hardcore Mode has been made to resemble the PC version of the game.

There’s also a new automatic assault rifle, the M762 which can be found on all the maps and has three firing modes for you to choose from. Dynamic weather has been added to Sanhok that changes between sunny, rain and foggy randomly. Sanhok also now has Scooters which are also available on the PC version of the game.

There’s been changes to the Royale Pass system as well and features two elite versions. Royale Pass owners also get a new male and a new female character with new hairstyles. The new season might also have characters from Suicide Squad like Joker and Harley Quinn to impersonate as in the game. There’s also rumours that the new snow map, Dihor Otok may come to the game in the middle of this season, they are just rumours however.

If you haven’t received the update yet, don’t worry, you will have it by tomorrow.

PUBG Mobile Tips: 5 Tips To Outplay Your Opponents

PUBG Mobile is huge and so are the things that you can do in this game which is why we have 5 PUBG Mobile tips to help you outplay your opponent.

Cook Grenades

Cooking your grenades can be the difference between killing an enemy or not. Hold the grenade in your hand and throw it when the timer reaches about 2 or 1-second based on your distance. Ideally, make the grenade explode as soon as it reaches your target instead of it sitting there for a few seconds which allows the enemy to escape.

Block The Bunker Tunnels

If you know there are enemies in the Bunker Tunnels, block the entrance/exit with a vehicle and then blow it up. This will trap the enemies inside which could potentially kill them if they’re outside the blue circle.

Extra ammo

When you’re picking up ammo for a gun, exchange the gun twice to get extra ammo already loaded in the gun. This could give you an extra clip or two.

Hide In the Tree near the roof at School

This tree near the school can be jumped onto and used as a vantage point for unsuspecting players. Get on there, hide and wait for your opportunity to strike and pick off enemies at your discretion. Don’t stick around too long on the tree though.

Bridge Tactics

Blocking a bridge is a viable tactic but it often makes people go another way instead of using a bridge. If you want to really ambush players, don’t block the bridge and hide behind the vehicles and attack the enemy when they approach. Or, you could also climb the bridge part way by using the side ledge and get on top of it.

PUBG Mobile Tips: Best Weapons To Use

There are a lot of guns in PUBG Mobile but which one should you use? Here’s a small guide for the best weapons you can use to secure a chicken dinner.

AWM- Long Range God

The AWM is the most powerful gun in the game as it will kill someone even with a level 3 helmet with one headshot. However, the gun can only be found in airdrops which mean that getting it is a risky affair. If you do get it though, you will tear through your opposition if you’ve mastered this gun.

SKS- The AR for Long Range

With the proper attachments, the SKS is better than the SLR which is also a fantastic weapon to use. For battle between 200-600m, this gun with attachments is a beast that will not let you down.

AKM- The Power Hitting Rifle

The AKM is a damn good weapon if equipped with a compensator as it deals the highest damage out of the other non crate ARs. The fact that it can be found so easily and with an attachment can be turned into a mean machine makes this a very viable choice.

M416- The All Rounder

With all the attachments, this weapon right here will have an edge over the AKM. However getting all the attachments can be tricky but if you do, this weapon will never let you down.

UMP9- The Close Quarter Killer

Set it to auto and watch enemies close to you drop like flies. This thing is great when it comes to close encounters due to its high rate of fire and its magazine capacity. The Vector is also a good choice but can get you in trouble due to its magazine size.

The AUG, Kar98, Scar-L and the Groza are also great weapons that if you find are absolutely worth using with the proper attachments. What are your favourite weapons? Let us know down below and check out the link below if you’re looking for more PUBG Mobile Tips.

PUBG Mobile Tips: 4 Tricks That You Might Not Know

PUBG Mobile Tips: 4 Tricks That You Might Not Know

We have posted quite a few PUBG Tips but here are a few tricks that you may not know about that could be useful if you’re ever in trouble and need some way to get an advantage.

Car Bug

The car bug is when you jump onto the side of a car but not on top of it. You jump right onto the edge so it looks like you’re floating and then you go prone and you’re basically completely hidden while also being in a usual spot from which you can aim and get people.

Crawling Underwater

If you are near a body of water and think someone might be over and don’t have any cover, you could use this trick. Go prone outside the body of water and select any throwable object. Then start aiming to throw it but don’t actually throw it. Just hold it and start crawling towards the water until you’re completely submerged and not visible. You won’t have to worry about oxygen and can catch an enemy by surprise.

Red Zone Camp

This is a risky thing to do but can help you switch your tactics. You take damage if you’re in the red zone, however, if even a single small pixel of your character’s body is touching the blue circle, you won’t take damage. You can use this and always stay in the edge until the very end. Remember, camping is a viable strategy in this game.

Stairway Spot

If you’re inside a house and want to ambush people use this. If there’s a staircase, you can jump onto the ledge on the wall of the staircase and position yourself above the staircase, a spot where nobody tends to check, especially in FPP. You will literally have the drop on them once they start climbing the staircase as they won’t spot you and you can kill them. You will be in a vulnerable spot though so if there is more than one person and you shoot too soon, you could be in trouble so do this when there’s back up around.

Thanks to Akash YT for these.
