Tetris Effect, one of the most acclaimed Tetris games of this generation is finally making its way to the PC Platform as an Epic Games Store Exclusive.
Tetris Effect is Tetris like you’ve never seen it, or heard it, or felt it before—an incredibly addictive, unique, and breathtakingly gorgeous reinvention of one of the most popular puzzle games of all time.
As the ultimate version of Tetris Effect, the PC version is capable of running at resolutions of 4K or more, with an uncapped framerate (if Vsync is disabled), and includes ultra-wide monitor support as well as other expanded game and graphical options for both 2D and VR play (including adjustable particle volume and size, texture filtering, and more) not found in the PlayStation 4 console release.
Music, backgrounds, sounds, special effects—everything, down to the Tetriminos themselves, pulse, dance, shimmer, and explode in perfect sync with how you’re playing, making any of the game’s 30+ stages and 10+ modes something you’ll want to experience over and over again.
The game releases on 23rd July on the PC and has VR Support. It will be exclusively available on the Epic Games Store and is currently discounted at $11.99.
Battle Royale games are everywhere and after everybody joked ” What game is next? Tetris?” The mad folks at Nintendo actually went ahead and did it with Tetris 99.
This game isn’t a cheap rip-off or anything but is an actual certified Tetris game that is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch but only for those who are Nintendo Switch Online members.
The game is free for Switch Online Members and pits you against 98 other players in an attempt to see who is the one true Tetris God. You can mess with your opponents by sending them Garbage Blocks but the same goes for you so it’s a very risky affair.
Defeating other players will give you KO Badges which will give you an advantage for future attacks so you’ll want to be a little aggressive just to stay safe.
Tetris is one of my all time favourite games and it’s a game that is so simple yet so complex and this battle royale mode makes it so much more competitive that might just bring this game back in the limelight even though it has been a constant for a lot of people.
It sucks that the game is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch because I’d love to see this game on other platforms, maybe even with a bit cross-platform, this game could have a pretty long life. But hey, Nintendo has made this meme real and it’s actually pretty good and looks like a lot of fun.
Tetris 99 is out now on the Nintendo Switch and is available for free and exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members.
